“Corner Store”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

It's just a corner store. It's free there are some history lessons to be learned and the downtown shops are great but they close early so plan your trip during the day.

“Pepsi Please”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

It is not the original building, but New Bern is the birth place of Pepsi. Store is average size, has a few Pepsi souvenirs and pictures. Of course you can get a Pepsi here which is the real treat.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

I was expecting a pepsi "museum". All it is is a store selling pepsi products. I'm not sure what a mountain dew T shirt has to do with "Brad's drink".

“Nice Free Attraction in Downtown New Bern”
Reviewed May 27, 2013

Enjoyed visiting the Birthplace of Pepsi, a free attraction in historic downtown New Bern. A simple 2-large-room exhibit with lots of Pepsi history and memorabilia. On the site of the drugstore where Pepsi originated. Enough history and not too much. Continuous video runs, narrated by Walter Cronkite. Seems as if this kicked off around the time of the 100th anniversary of the soft drink. Easy to locate and parking is not a problem.

“PEPSI COLA HITS THE SPOT. . . . . .”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

The refurbished location where Bradford invented Pepsi cola was fun to visit. The pharmacy was not doing as much business as he thought it could be, so he started to work on something else he could sell. He came up with "Brad's drink" that was later named Pepsi Cola.

The original formula is on the wall (read it and weep, Coke) as well as other momentos. You can purchase a fountain drink, ice cream soda, popcorn, and several other things. The video shorts of former TV ads is fascinating as are the souvenirs. And of course, they are not only Pepsi, but their other brands as well.

Street parking in New Bern is free and ample. Well worth the time to stop, sit, and sip.
