My husband and I walked over to the Wiener Haus on a Wednesday afternoon about 3, we were staying across the street. We were greeted so friendly by the ladies behind the bar. Very cute, quaint space. A long wooden bar takes up the space inside, but there is also outdoor seating too. We opted for a glass of wine as there special was $5 a glass. We sat and chatted a while, the best part is we were treated as friends rather than customers. The bar, bathroom, outdoor space is all very clean and well kept. After being out on the town we stopped for a night cap, they close at 9pm, and again, clean, friendly, welcoming. We bought a bottle of wine and headed to our AirBnB. We enjoyed the space so much we opted to start our afternoon and end our evening their Thursday as well, this time we enjoyed a couple craft beers and chicken wings. The staff was very knowledgeable about our pours, even letting us give them a taste first. Our wings were a good end of the night snack! The pub also offers 3 TV’s which being football buffs we were happy about that, they also play great music..think Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks. Their extensive hot dog/bratwurst menu looked amazing, I did notice they do offer a veggie dog as well. If you’re in town, this is a must visit, even if not for food simply to enjoy great company, and a GREAT little space!!!

This location was visited by Mess Hall Cutie and this Mess Hall Officer for the first time but is called the Wiener Haus. Very busy unable to sit outside. Sat at bar area, waitress responded immediately. Looked over menu and noticed specialty sausages and sides geared to German style food, but, American variety also. Cutie ordered cheddar brat and I the beer brat plus soda/pop. Peanuts were available at the bar which complimented our sodas. Beer is available. We didn't order any sides which could have been German potato salad or mustard potato salad or other standard sides. Brats were $5 and $6 respectively plus sodas $2.25 free refills. Toppings on Brats were numerous to your liking, sour kraut, grilled onions, relishes,etc.,etc. Choice of rolls/buns which overall provided numerous combinations. It was a pleasant lunch at a reasonable price and food was delicious. The Wiener Haus passed Mess Hall Reviews criteria of Quality, Quantity, Price and Service. Bring the family if you have kids and sit outside on the rear patio area tables with umbrellas.

Service was friendly...but out of German potato salad, cucumber salad at 12:30. In NC, sweet and unsweetened teas should be a given and NOT be bottled. Lemonade or something kid friendly to drink would be nice. Enjoyed setting out back on patio. Beer brat was phenomenal.
