Description: At Lone Cedar Cafe, we specialize in fresh and local seafood. If you're craving the freshest fish, clams, crab, shrimp and oysters from local North Carolina waters, you'll find them at the Lone Cedar Cafe. For generations, Outer Banks families made their livings - and their daily meals - from the bounty of local waters, caught fresh every day. Our family, the Basnights, were part of that history, and we continue the tradition today by serving only the freshest Outer Banks seafood, caught in local waters and brought to our docks daily by local fishermen, then cleaned and prepared right here at the Lone Cedar Cafe. Our vegetables are "just picked" from North Carolina farms, we serve only all-natural beef and poultry and even our herbs and greens are grown in our own chemical-free garden on-site. Come enjoy delicious food, gorgeous sunsets and panoramic water views, the antics of our resident ospreys and our warm Southern hospitality.

I had shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat and my husband had flounder stuffed with crab imperial. Both were tasty and excellent with good side choices. The homemade corn bread was to die for. The key lime pie was the absolute best we have had in Nags Head (and the others were good).

We went here for the first time this week. The food was great but it's pricey. I had crusted chicken which was great. My husband had the fried seafood combo and loved it. Someone else had the prime rib and loved it. The mozzarella sticks appetizer was so good. The creme brûlée and Heath bar cake were yummy. Our server was awesome a well.

Great Sunday brunch and beautiful views of the Sound. Was a beautiful and clean establishment, great food, good service and a wonderful view, recommend this to anyone dining on the outer banks.

We have vacationed on the banks for 10+ years, Basnight's has become a staple for the last three years. Every meal has been wonderful and the service has been great. It does get busy but we've never had any issues.

The restaurant is very nice, it has great views and an osprey nest that helped entertain the kids. We got there at about 6:30 and did not have to wait to be seated, however we waited at our table for at least 10 minutes before our waitress came and that was after my husband went and asked the hostess what the problem was. The hostess was not very friendly or welcoming. The waitress apologized for passing us by, but the service did not greatly improve. There were long waits for refills on drinks and a long wait for the check. However the meal was great. My husband got the yellow fin tuna and I got the broiled seafood dish and they were both wonderful. The crab cake was even tasty and being for Maryland I am very picky about my crab cakes.
