Description: At Lone Cedar Cafe, we specialize in fresh and local seafood. If you're craving the freshest fish, clams, crab, shrimp and oysters from local North Carolina waters, you'll find them at the Lone Cedar Cafe. For generations, Outer Banks families made their livings - and their daily meals - from the bounty of local waters, caught fresh every day. Our family, the Basnights, were part of that history, and we continue the tradition today by serving only the freshest Outer Banks seafood, caught in local waters and brought to our docks daily by local fishermen, then cleaned and prepared right here at the Lone Cedar Cafe. Our vegetables are "just picked" from North Carolina farms, we serve only all-natural beef and poultry and even our herbs and greens are grown in our own chemical-free garden on-site. Come enjoy delicious food, gorgeous sunsets and panoramic water views, the antics of our resident ospreys and our warm Southern hospitality.

We have enjoyed eating at the Lone Cedar for a few years now but this was our first time at the Sunday Brunch and we look forward to doing so again! The menu is generous, offering traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch entrees. Our family loved everything that we ordered, especially the great biscuits and preserves. The cheese grits were my personal favorite, so well seasoned that they required no additional salt or butter. It was a special bonus to watch Ricky and Lucy, their resident osprey, in their nest preparing for their new family while we enjoyed our great meal!

Ate here many times, but came for Subday brunch for the first time and it was delicious!! The breakfast biscuits were huge!!! They were the size of softballs and the eggs, cheese grits, and sausage were good too!! Thanks Basnights for another great meal! I'm sure we will eat there again before our vacation is over.

We eat at the Lone Cedar on every visit to the Outer Banks. On this trip, we found that the clams in garlic and white wine and the she-crab soup were exceptional!
