Description: Located at milepost 13 in Nags Head across from Jockey's Ridge State Park, we have unbelievable views from our second floor deck of the Atlantic Ocean and the historic Nags Head cottages. As a matter of fact, we don't believe that you can truly unwind until you've ordered an Orange Crush on the deck at Mulligan's! We strive to buy as much of our products as locally as possible-local seafood, local produce, and locally butchered meats. We strive to bring only the freshest local food to your table, from hand-cut beach fries to oysters straight from the Pamlico Sound. We give a whole new meaning to Southern Coastal cuisine. We are also dog friendly! Come and enjoy our outdoor covered patio with your fur friend from 11am-5pm. So come hang out where the locals are!

We ate at their outdoor patio for an early dinner as we have heard good things about it and like the outdoor atmosphere. The food was average at best and the upstairs ocean side out door patio where we ate had a bar and live music. Smokers were everywhere and the audience was a bit on the raunchy side. It is a large place so perhaps indoors is more family friendly but unless you smoke and are looking to party this may not be the best choice for an early dinner with the family.

We saw a good coupon for a clambake to ho. Once there we decided to get a table as the umbrella deck looked so inviting. We learned the coupon was invalid idceecate there but the manager gave us ten percent off so thank you Tyler for asking. There was live music on a nearby deck however music blsre from a speaker as well so we heard the guitar player and the other music at the same time. I have never seen a clambake with Idaho potatoes. Strange. We left them all. There was no seasoning at all. Like it was all cooked separately and put on a platter. The lobstercwas nice size but way overcooked. Crab legs and the rest were cooked just right. Very messy meal but we had one plate to share. At the end we asked for wetnaps. We got two for the three of us. So go for drinks and don't order the clambake. The view is nice. Hard working servers who lack training but it is early in the season and all seem very friendly.

Wait staff very friendly. Very good food. The fish tacos my wife had were delicious. The only drawback is they only serve the tacos with fried fish.

It was our first time to North Carolina on vacation. While exploring the outer banks, we found mulligans. From outside the place looks awesome, so much fun! We got seated and order some fun drinks and met Maresa, our awesome waitress. My husband and I are both schooled/trained chefs, so picky doesn't even begin to describe how we judge every aspect of a restaurant. The apps came out and we're awesome!! So waiting for our main courses were torture!!! Both my father, my husband and I got the steamer pots!!! So delicious! The restaurant was clean and visually very pleasing, the food was to die for.. but Maresa was what took the cake. You can tell and she loves what she does because it shows. Not only being such a sweetheart but she genuinely cared about making us have a wonderful and carefree experience. People like her make the difference in life and the restaurant business. Thank you Maresa for knowing your stuff and for everything!!

The staff was friendly, but a bit disorganized. We had a drink at the bar while waiting for an outside table and had to hunt for someone to pay when our table was ready. Apparently, they are not equipped to carry your bar tab to your table. But the fish tacos were excellent and plentiful. Another in our party had the fried oysters and said they were excellent. We would definitely go back.
