Description: Grits Grill is a decidedly southern place to have a great breakfast or lunch year round. It's open till 2 pm daily. Most of the cooking is done right behind the diner style front counter. Eggs any style, chipped beef, omelettes, hotcakes and of course grits (cooked just about any style) are breakfast specialties and served anytime. Lunch is full of specials, deli offerings and big, juicy burgers. Owned locally. Staff is well known for being warm and friendly. Come have breakfast with us anytime!

Great breakfast or lunch. You can order anything from the menu at anytime. Friendly service. Never disappointed, ate here several times during the week we were there.

We ate at Grits this past weekend. Two of our party had their Spanish Omelettes (very tasty but they need to add some cheese, and serve sour cream & salsa on the side), their sausage gravy was delicious, the biscuits were pretty good (not as good as Bojangles or Cracker Barrel, though). One person had their Country Ham Platter, and declared it some of the best ham ever. Another had their Shrimp & Grits (with sausage gravy.) Tasted great but would have liked bigger shrimp ... Their hash browns were good, eggs done just right. We were very pleased and would definitely go back! Though there was a line, we were inside in less than ten minutes.

We had a nice breakfast at this restaurant. Excellent omlette and hash browns. My husband said that the grits were good, too. I can't speak to that because even though I was born and raised in the South, I can't abide grits!

When we are in the OBX in May, we go to the Ships Wheel for breakfast usually just about every morning. Well, we were disappointed to see that it closes in September, so we had to find somewhere else. Grits was recommended to us, and it was great.

Went on a Sunday morning the first time, and it was extremely crowded, but we were on vacation and the beach so we had no problem standing outside in the nice weather waiting for a table.

The inside is a little cramped and it was warm (so don't know what it'd be like in the middle of the summer), but the breakfast was very good (one in my party had lunch and liked it too).

Good sized portions and very reasonably priced. We ended up coming back 2 more times for breakfast, and were not disappointed at all.

Ships Wheel is still our favorite breakfast place and we will go back to going there in May, but in September Grits is going to be the breakfast place.
