Description: Grits Grill is a decidedly southern place to have a great breakfast or lunch year round. It's open till 2 pm daily. Most of the cooking is done right behind the diner style front counter. Eggs any style, chipped beef, omelettes, hotcakes and of course grits (cooked just about any style) are breakfast specialties and served anytime. Lunch is full of specials, deli offerings and big, juicy burgers. Owned locally. Staff is well known for being warm and friendly. Come have breakfast with us anytime!

“Very solid diner”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

We went to this place twice for lunch last month. It's perfect for a diner. Lots of food for the money and quick friendly service. As the name implies, there is grits on the menu as a side with almost everything.

The breakfast items were all hits and so was the chicken Caesar wrap that's served warm and fresh.

“Shrimp & Grits!!”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We try and plan our trip to and from OBX so that we can make a stop at the Grits Grill in Nags Hag for breakfast as often as we can, and we always get the same thing: SHRIMP & GRITS!! The grits are perfectly cooked, topped with crumbled bacon, shrimp, green onion, sausage gravy, and it comes with an incredibly flaky biscuit – perfection. The coffee is hot and delicious, and the cooks are right out in front – we love to sit at the counter where we get quick service and are able to watch the cooks do their thing. Definitely a restaurant you want to try!

“A local's hangout with amazing food!”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

My husband and I visited OBX and wanted to eat at the Dunes. Unfortunately they were closed for the season, so we opted for one of their other restaurants they own, called Grits Grill. It is a diner style atmosphere, but the food is exactly like the Dunes, even down to the tiny ice cubes in our drinks. Our waitress was useless, but other than that I highly recommend this place for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch!
