I've been going to the Shack now quite a while and have always enjoyed it. The food is always cooked to perfection and the workers there know what they are doing. But lately the Sugar Shack has changed into what seems to be more of an all around restaurant. They recently acquired a grill which is a great idea, but it seems that the seafood is starting to loose priority to things such frozen steaks and BBQ. With the new manager I've met there, he is changing things that do not need to be changed in my opinion. He doesn't seem to know much about seafood either. With all this being said, it is still a great place to eat for one of the best prices on the beach. Lastly, if you like a great sunset, the Sugar Shack will put you in awe.

Got a seafood boil filled with lobster, shrimp, scallops, potatoes, and corn. Pricey but cheaper than if your family went out for seafood. Knowledgeable staff. Cold beer and great view while you wait for your creation.

I always get these with the texas petal sauce and that secret, pineapple chutney like sauce. They're fabulous! Friendly staff who remember me and take care to pack my fresh seafood with ice for the ride home. A staple at our house.

Every trip to Nags Head stop by for take out seafood.Got a perfectly cooked pound of local shrimp for $10 and my wife and I could hardly finish it.Shop has a beautiful view of the sound with outdoor tables and a gazebo on the water.Service was terrific.Never had fried dinners here but the steamed meals make the grade and couldn't be fresher.

We stopped here hoping to get seafood pizza. We were disappointed that they no longer serve it so we ordered a variety of items. Fried Calamari-average at best. Fried shrimp-ok. Crab cake sandwich-not a fan.
