Friendly place, employees were very helpful and knew what they were talking about. Prices were about average for a beach area.

“expensive”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

You pay top dollar in this place! Very expensive, but good stuff. We found better deals at some of the other surf shops.

“As Real As It Gets! True Gem of a Surf Shop”
Reviewed July 27, 2012

If you're a first timer or want to up your game on the waves, this is the place to look--and learn. This historic and still-original beach road retailer is one of the last, remaining surf shacks on the Outer Banks. And they know the real deal -- the entire history and ongoing discoveries of the sport. My guess is that although some of the staff is seasonal, they're trained and knowledgable by the locals that own this place. A full service stop for all things surf- cool shirts and lessons too! My friend swears by them, older surfers on the Banks have treasured this place. A big part of the history of old Nags Head.

“The Best - classic surf shop”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Loved this place - great people, great selection - excellent insider information about the area. They treat you like a local - the best surf shop on the outer banks. Highest recommendation - please skip the massive, overly commercialized surf shops on the main drag and head here instead for the real deal.
