At peak season in the summer you should post that the grill closes at 900. That was just poor service

We went late, and there was a big crowd - but, delicious choices and a casual atmosphere, along with a good sized eating area, made the wait worth it. Banana Split and Chocolate Covered Strawberries were yuM!
My family stopped by for some ice cream and it was great. They had lots of other food on the menu too, burgers, subs, fried oysters, etc. It all looked good. All seating was outdoors so the ice cream melted quickly and it got a little crowed while we were there. But it was a cool place, fun, good food. I'd definitely go back.
Incredibly disappointed, not sure how this could have been a worse experience.
--Girl who took our order was very friendly.
--Nice covered patio seating area
--Long lines, 15-20 minute wait to order, 10 more minutes until served
--No hand dipped chocolate ice-cream (chocolate available in soft-serve only)
--Soft-serve ice cream served already melting down sides of the cone.
--Incredibly high prices for national brand (Blue Bunny) ice cream ($3-$4 for cones, $6 for flurries)
--Experience at the nice covered patio seating area completely ruined by old-school post-hardcore music (Silverstein) BLASTING so loud through patio speakers you couldn't even talk to your friends. Because nothing goes with ice cream like post-hardcore.
With all of the other options for ice cream at OBX, we won't be back.
Just across the street from the state beach (a short walk but I discovered the hard way that in August a double scoop of ice cream on a cone does not travel well from Fat Boyz back to the beach). The ice cream is tasty, service friendly. Highly recommend.
