We checked in July 11, 2012, and found the motel to be very clean, comfortable, well lighted, and easy to find. The clerk that checked us in was very friendly, and she informed us that if we eat at the Brintle's Restaurant, right next door, we'll get a 10% discount for staying at the Best Western. We did just that for breakfast the next morning. The motel room was comfortable, and we were able to drive right up to the room and park in front of our door. The beds were very comfortable. Check out was quick and easy, and the overall experience was very good. We felt very safe there and we would stay there again if we come back to the area.

Room Tip: You can ask for a room that you can park in front of.

Room was extremely clean. Hotel was booked full but was still very quiet. For the price I consider this a very good value. Staff was very nice and helpful. Early checkout, 4 am, was no problem.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Best Western Bryson Inn, The young lady at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable. The price for two rooms was a deal (with a AAA discount) and we were very happy with the clean, updated rooms. One of the rooms was being cleaned when we checked in (which we were told about and were fine with.) Housekeeping staff was very friendly and efficient.

The rooms appear to be recently updated (sign at the front desk advised of possible hammering at 8:am but we stayed Saturday night - Sunday morning and heard no construction.)

We requested rooms near the pool area and were given two rooms on the first floor across the parking lot from the pool. The kids were excited to get their suits on and jump in, so I did, too. It was a little cool last night, but thankfully the pool is heated so there was no freezing cold shock of water to greet us. Pool towels are available at the front desk. Nice, clean pool that is well lit and open from 8:am - 10:pm. Plenty of seating all around the pool.

The rooms have cable tv, but no fridge or microwave. Home-style cooking restaurant & store located next door. We did not eat there, but my husband walked over to grab some things from the store and said it looked like a large selection of good food.

The Inn was filled to capacity, but it did not seem like it. It was quiet and there was plenty of parking. One point that pretty much sold me on this place was the fact that when we went into our room I expected to have to go next door to tell a the kids travelling with us to turn down the tv. I never heard any sounds from our family in that room, the room on the other side of us, or upstairs.. I was amazed! Normally when we stay at a hotel or motel the doors shutting at all hours wakes me up, but I did not hear any annoying noises during our stay.

The continental breakfast was fine for most of us and included cereal, danishes, make your own waffles, yogurt, and pastries. My husband, however, needs some type of meat for every meal, so he had to find breakfast elsewhere. It worked fine for the rest of us and was adequate.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay, the facilities, and the value. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Mt. Airy.

Room Tip: Call ahead. They were at full capacity the night we stayed and the night before.

Call in advance to the Best Western to have this unique experience. You will feel like a movie star as people stop in front to take photos. This was a surprise for my 12 yr old son, and without the kind staff at the front desk who played along, it was the BEST SURPRISE EVER!. Despite the busy front desk swarmed with people, the girls were wonderful by granting permission to swing by and take a few photos, even told us how to get to "our room" inside. He had no idea we were spending the night. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was equipped with dishes and the like. It is however, an older home and that must be kept in consideration. It has AC and everything works, but the large back yard is beautiful with the large magnolia tree. The purpose is to show how Andy and his family lived - as my son explained to me when I commented on the old windows and the bathroom. We came back to the hotel for breakfast the next morning - it was enjoyable with the regular items. The pool was perfect temperature and the towels were fresh and fluffy. What a nice treat to the end of a lovely beak in routine.

Room Tip: Further away from the evelators is best.

We stayed here in May, 2012, during a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was on the skimpy side, probably at the lower end of what one expects of a free breakfast deal. Still, it was a good value for the price: clean, comfortable, and safe.

This hotel was very clean and worth the price. We stayed over one night during the memorial day weekend, and even as busy as the hotel was, the staff was responsive, helpful and courteous. The beds were great, the towels fluffy, and our room had adequate space for us. The pool is heated, so we were able to swim. The continental breakfast was plentiful and organized. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone traveling through Mt. Airy.
