This tiny winery is just off Interstate 77 at Mt. Airy, NC. Once you leave the freeway, it's less than five minutes away. This is a very small operation, but the facilities are very nice. The grounds are well-kept, and the views back toward the mountains are great. We tasted both the reds and the whites, and as usual, found the reds more to our liking, especially their merlot. Your mileage may vary. Their port is also good. We ended up buying three bottles before we left. The price of the wines here is a little higher than some of the other wineries in the vicinity. They were bringing in grapes while we were there. In fact a local vineyard owner (whose winery isn't in operation yet) was delivering a load of Malbec and Tempranillo grapes. She gave us a handful of each to try. We were surprised how good they tasted right off the vine. All in all it was a couple of hours well spent.
