“Heartwarming Americana Memorabilia!”

One of America's all time good guys, Andy Griffith, and all his Mayberry friends are frozen in time at this museum. Barney's suit, Andy's sheriff office and shirt, Goober's famous outfit and original hat are all there for up close inspection. If you visit on the 3rd Friday of any month you can meet Barney's TV girlfriend Thelma Lou (Betty Lynn) who has moved to Mount Airy and will be happy to sign an autograph for you!
Be sure to rent the audio tour and listen to Andy's speech among many other great recordings on the tape.

Enjoyed the museum offers a lot of history and memorabilia .Was a little disappointed that some of the background of Aunt Bea's history and clothing was not there. The other character from the Andy Griffith show was Miss Crump. The staff working very nice and helpful and very knowledgable of the history .Fun Afternoon!
