The visit will take you back in time. The place is small, but well set up for visitors. Recommend this one.

“Whistle down to Mayberry USA”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

Lovely little museum telling the story of Andy Griffith, Mayberry, the Siamese Twins Cheng & Eng and the history of a charming little town. Minimal charge for museum entry. The Statue of Andy and Opie out front is a must see. Take a stroll down mainstreet and relive a time gone by in much of our country.

Reviewed September 2, 2013

If you are in mount Airy you need to go. The lady that took are money, $6, was not to friendly but all in all a good museum. Make sure you take the time to go see the old theater down town with your paid visit to the Andy Griffith Museum.

“visit the museum when in Mt Airy”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

We recently took a road trip to Mayberry (MtAiry NC). Loved the town and want to go back again earlier next summer and stay a few days longer? We went early on Sunday and took video and pics of the statue and brick buildings then returned in the afternoon as they don't open on Sunday until 1pm, Very nice place and lots of pics and props and outfits from the shows and another small area with the sheriff desk and fan and telephone and also Otis's still and the water fountain and lots of thing to look at and remember from the shows. “Nice Museum”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Overall the Museum was very nice. It is on the small side and for the most part it is a lot of pictures. Be sure to get there early because it closes at 4 pm. It was neat to see some of the stuff that was in there. Note that you can not take pictures in the museum.
