We were just passing thru the Mount Airy area. The hotel was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast area was very busy as well as the evening snack time. The servers in the breakfast area were very helpful.

We stayed here most recently over the long 2012 Thanksgiving weekend. There were few rooms occupied so we had the place generally to ourselves. The desk staff as well as housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. We arrived around 3AM and our room was ready and waiting.

There is an indoor pool but we didn't have time to avail ourselves of it. The hotel is convenient to the Triad as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and NW North Carolina/SW Virginia. There are several fast dining options nearby. Overall, this is a great option in Mount Airy.

Yes we are located in the heart of Mount Airy which gives easy access to everything such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, restaurants, shopping centers and the downtown area. Just stayed here one night on the way back from the holidays. Clean rooms, large hotel convenient to the highway. Pool area looked nice although we did not use it. This hotel really prides itself on its customer service.

I've stayed in this Hampton Inn dozens of times over the eight years and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are always friendly, especially Terri who usually ends up pouring me generous glasses of wine some week day evenings.

The hotel is always meticulously clean, the beds are really comfortable and the wifi signal is reasonably fast.

The hotel was clean, but dated for a Hampton property. We chose it due to the good ratings and the included hot breakfast. The problem was that they ran out of food at the breakfast buffet and did not replace anything except for cold cereals, pastries,etc...even though it was still early and people were still coming into the breakfast area only to be scrounging around for food.

I would like to first thank you for staying at the Hampton Inn Mount Airy NC. I appreciate you taking the time to write about your experience while staying with us. It is the feedback that is received from the guest that helps me to know the areas that need attention.
The property will be undergoing some major renovations in the next couple of months to bring it to a more modern status. It did undergo some renovation in 2007 but unfortunately things do changes more often now then before so I apologize that it did not meet or exceed your expectations.
Please accept my apologies on behalf of the breakfast hostesses not replenishing the breakfast items to accomodate you and other guest's. I have spoken to the hostesses about your experience and made sure that they are aware that this is not acceptable. We should not run out of food during breakfast hours and we have several procedures in place that if followed properly helps to make sure this does not happen again.

If your traveling plans should send you back through our area I hope that you will give us another chance to accomodate your lodging needs.

We stayed here one night only on our way down the Blue Ridge Parkway, but would have been happy to stay another if time had permitted. It was very comfortable, with a great breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. One thing I noticed was how fresh and clean it smelled, having stayed with a competitor to Hampton the previous night, which didn't measure up to our standards. Even though a huge group was staying here as well, Terri, the evening host of our wine reception, kept her cool. She was gracious and efficient at serving all of us, and was unfailingly pleasant. Afterwards, there were delicious cookies for those who didn't imbibe (or who couldn't resist both!) We'd gladly stay again. We ate dinner at a nearby Asian buffet, located across the parking lot next door. We weren't expecting much, but it had really good food and lots of choices. Surprise! And there was a drug store on the other side if you need to pick up a last minute item. The downtown was very cute and full of Andy Griffith Show memorabilia. Very nice place to stop.

We chose this hotel ONLY because it had a no pet policy . It was somehat dated and appeared to have been added on to but was clean. It had different wings and was somewhat confusing. Our room overlooked what appeared to be apartments that shared the same parking lot. This was not very desirable. It was ok, but would not stay there again. There was a new Holiday Inn Express on the other side of the road that looked nice but allowed pets and most of the reviews were regarding the wonderful pet acceptance so we chose our hotel based strictly on pet policies.

The entire staff and management teams take pride in making sure the guest rooms and common areas are well maintained and cleaned each and every day.

I am sorry if your travels bring you back to Mount Airy that you would not stay with us again but I would like for you to know that we will be undergoing some major renovations within the next couple of months to help modernize the property. Our last renovation was in 2007 but unfortunately these days things do change more often. I hope that if your travels bring you back through Mount Airy you will change your mind and give us another chance to meet and or exceed your expectations.
