Stayed here for 1 night while attending a conference. The Staff is EXCELLENT, everyone that we (there were 8 of us) were very friendly and more than eager to help. The rooms were excellently cleaned, and were in great condition. The breakfast was your typical buffett food that was constantly refreshed by a very friendly attendant. This hotel has been added to our preffered Hotel list.

We have stayed at this Hotel Nov 2013 and Nov 2012 and on both occasions the service and hospitality was outstanding. It is ideally located near RDU airport and is excellent value.
Staff members Michelle, Angela and Malika are wonderful and are deserving of special mention

Our return flight to DC was re-routed through NC and we needed a hotel for one night to catch a flight the next day. At Midnight, we were at the Raleigh airport info desk calling hotels! The Residence Inn was the only one with a room that also offered a free airport shuttle. We discussed the Military rate option over the phone, and were told that they didn't offer that. We saw an airport Residence Inn showing the rate on our iPad. The desk clerk suggested that we book it online and then she could get it figured out when we checked in. Well, we got to the hotel only to find out that it was the wrong hotel! Thankfully, the friendly night clerk was able to cancel the reservation at the other hotel for us and she even worked out the same rate for us! After a LONG day of flight delays, changes, etc, this was a wonderful experience.

The room we were given was newly renovated. As soon as we opened the door, I could smell it was new carpet! What a bonus! All the finishes, bathroom vanity, shelves, shower curtain, etc, were new and updated from what we expected (from other R.I. stays in other states).

The next morning, the same desk clerk was working and was again very friendly and personally engaging to make sure we had a good stay! It may just be that Southern hospitality, but I thought it was one of the nicest Marriott properties I've ever stayed at, including the breakfast staff and the shuttle drivers!

We had not stayed here in awhile, and on checking in were pleasantly surprised by the nice remodel!

As in previous stays, the staff was friendly and accommodating. We had special requests for our rooms, and upon arrival they were ready and waiting.

Pricing on the weekend and holidays is often excellent, making this a great value for a family. Location is good for Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.

I got the last room in the hotel, it was expensive, but my boss wanted me to stay at his hotel. I started working and within the next 3 hours the fire alarm went off 3 times. While I appreciate that if there had been a fire, that alarm would have awakened me easily, the noise was deafening. The third time that it went off, I was in the lobby and the front desk person told the maintenance guy to turn it off for the night. Not the uninterrupted work time I had been needing all day.

Thank you for your review.
We are pleased that you were able to get a room at our hotel on a sold-out night, but we are extremely sorry that the fire alarm was deafening and disrupted your stay and work. We take the sounding of the alarms very seriously and upon investigation by the fire department, it was discovered that the pull station switch was pulled. Although it’s very dangerous to deactivate the fire alarms we opted to do this for the comfort of our guests after the fire department confirmed that there wasn’t a fire. During the deactivation we manually checked the buildings to ensure everything was safe and secure for our guests. I apologize and I hope this negative experience does not influence your future stay. We appreciate your business and hope that you will allow us another opportunity to serve you in the future.

I stayed for one night on a business trip and was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the service provided by the staff, who took the time to learn my name even though they had a hotel full of guests. It was a truly excellent experience.

My husband & I stayed here for 91 days after moving. The staff was terrific - very helpful, welcoming & helpful. They suggested restaurants, activities and shopping. They even were concerned when my husband got the flu and checked on him!
