“FABULOUS!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

My colleague and I stopped for the night in Morganton as part of our trip across NC. I knew it was a small town so wasn't expecting much choice in non-chain restaurants of a decent caliber. However, I was more than impressed by this little gem! A farm to table restaurant serving lots of unique dishes, this place is a must if you are ever in town. I had the heirloom tomato salad with goat cheese and bacon lardons as an appetizer and we both had the meatloaf as a main course, which is was out of this world with the blackberry bbq 'sauce' on the side. Everything was fantastic including the very friendly service and the extensive and diverse wine list!

“A Hidden gem”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

A very eclectic setting at the foot of the NC mountains. It is a small, intimate restaurant with a very unique menu. We had lunch...the service was truly outstanding and delightful, the food was mostly from the local area and was prepared perfectly and appealing to the eye. I had their cheeseburger which was freshly ground beef and had a great sauce and taste. The fresh rough cut fries were perfect. The complimentary cornbread was very unique with fresh homemade butters like peach or jalapeño. We all enjoyed it very much and will return in a heartbeat when in the area. The price was also very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

“New fav in Morganton”

Fresh food, lovely quality, and the menu is unlike anything else in the area! Love the butter choices, fresh cornbread was amazing, and food is great. My fav is the kale side dish.

“Brunch”
Reviewed May 16, 2013

We decided to do Mother's Day Brunch here after reading reviews and a few local recommendations. This place is fantastic. Their staff wasn't the fastest, but that was due to the crowded time of day. The cornbread with three different butters started the meal off perfectly. I had the trout cakes benedict and I didn't say a word for 15 minutes while I ate. That was one of the best dishes I have ever had for brunch. The pickled fried green tomatoes on that dish just put it over the top. Don't miss this place if you're around Morganton.

“a wise man goes to wisteria”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

nothing is open on Sunday in Morganton, however, Wisteria breaks that mold with an interesting menu, decent pricing, a good glass of wine, in the heart of Morganton.

worth the trip from Banner Elk, this quaint gastro-pub gets my high marks on all fronts. wow, many good local ingredients, farm to table, the farms are nearby, after all... wow: a bloody mary bar?

we shall return! and hopefully by then you'll have an espresso machine (slight hint).....
