We checked into the motel and asked the Clerk for a dinner recommendation. She did not hesitate but immediately replied - Las Salsas! She suggested we mix the pico and mild salsa from the "salsa bar", so that it would be more chunky ... it is the way to go. She also warned us that the portions were huge and we could share an order. We had the Carne Asada & Camarones ... but nixed her suggestion to share. When they brought the plates, we immediately realized that she had been correct. The steak, vegetables, rice and beans were good but the shrimp were the best we have ever had in a Mexican meal. The iced tea was fresh, the service was good and the price was reasonable. If you ever have an opportunity to eat in Morganton, TRY LAS SALSAS!!!
