Dropped in for lunch on our way boating. Not very busy with plenty of staff present. The service to our table was great with plenty of attention and when our food came it was very good. One of our party loved the bloody mary bar! Kitchen seemed slow for the number of people dining there. Outside patio overlooking the waterfront is a nice option.

Recently my brother's wedding rehearsal dinner was at Chef's 105 with 40 guests. One of the owner's, Forrest, was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. The food was exceptional and the service was fantastic. The room set up was ideal for the occasion and permitted privacy for the event. I would highly recommend this resturant for any occasion. I have also eaten there a number of times for dinner and the food has always been wonderful.

My fiancé and I came here last night looking for a great fish dish on our last night in town. Chefs 105 was a HUGE mistake. From the very beginning, we could tell that the bar staff had no idea what they were doing. The girl that saw us first must have been new because she could barely formulate a sentence. The guy I'm assuming that was training her was just as inept. I've been a chef for 13 years, and have never had worse service. The food was just as awful. Canned black beans with steamed white rice does not equal a $28 dish. I think anyone could cook better that whoever was back there manning the grill.

Two people actually stormed out of the place after commenting to US! Drunks dropping/ breaking glasses inside also made for a ridiculously terrible dining experience. Take the time to go over to the Island Grille in AB where they actually know how to cook!

From the moment you enter, all your senses are engaged and you know it's going to be a great dining experience. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, the smell of the wood stove and delicious food fills the air, great music in the background and a casual elegance. The owner is extremely friendly and stops by to make everything is to your liking. He genuinely cares, as does his manager (I'm assuming that is his title - he visited each table as well). You simply do not expect to find a gem like this in Morehead City...it's more of the older establishments such as the Sanitary which has been there since 1938, therefore it's great to see some new blood with a more upscale twist. The food was excellent - best Shrimp & Grits! Everything is local & fresh. Service was good even though a party of 40 arrived (for a private party in the back room) at the same time as 5 other tables in the dining area. There's a lovely outdoor patio for dining and a rooftop area...live entertainment on the weekends. Overall AWESOME experience!
