One of the few places left that has a buffet and a menu selection. Not as extensive as Golden Corral, and no steak on buffet, but it does have filling fare. The clientele are older patrons and small families who obviously wish to avoid the jostling and crowds found at Golden Corrals. It does have two small rooms for groups at the back, which are near the buffet. The salad bar is large and well stocked. The main buffet is actually split into two and a half sections, so look over the whole area. They often have items on the buffet you don't see on typical buffets, like chicken livers and fried fatback. The cuisine is definitely southern. Waitstaff has been within awhile and quite experienced. Also definitely southern. The atmosphere is very laid back and the decor is definitely dated. It reminds you of what a steakhouse in the late '70s or early '80s would look like. While the food quality is average to above average (though the livers were spectacular, not overcooked), the lack of people pushing and shoving around the buffet or children running around and piling food they won't eat on a plate made it a much better dining experience.
