We just needed a clean place to lay our heads while traveling, and that's just about all we got. This Hampton Inn seemed to be one of the older Hampton Inns in existence and needs some renovation. The lobby, breakfast area, and hotel staff was great...but once we reached our room, things seemed old. The smaller-than-expected room was a little tight. The desk was beat up, with little room to pass between the desk chair and the bed. The air conditioning unit sounded like there was a race car track outside, and the bathroom vanity and shower were the old style cultured marble from the 80's. On the plus side, the bed was great! Again, the staff was very pleasant, and with the hotel being right off the highway, this hotel is a good choice...just not a great one!

For those who are familiar with Hampton Inns, this hotel is exactly what you would expect.

Rooms are nice and the bathroom is clean. Very nice stay and cost was much better that any other hotels I found in Greenboro, even the other Hamptons.

If you are staying in Greensboro, this is the place to stay.

Traveling as one adult with two children a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old, I found this Hampton Inn to be clean, comfortable and moderately priced, look for AAA and other discounts - it helps. Driving late at night, We could see the Inn but missed the Knox Rd turn. The second try I noticed a small Hampton Inn directional sign posted by the road and that did help. We stayed Sat- Sun. The beds are very comfortable but perhaps a little on the high side for smaller kids, as in the phrase "climb into bed" but should be fine for bigger kids (ages 4+) and adults. The pillows are numerous, room lighting is excellent. The room includes a microwave as well as a refrigerator- everything looked fresh and was in good working order. Nice decor throughout. Down the corridor there is a clothes washer and dryer for guests to use. The outside sparkling clean swimming pool is on the small size, so look to it more for play instead of laps. Towels are outside by the pool. The reception staff is friendly and willingly answered our questions on local shops. The accurate receipt for the room was under the door early in the a.m. so we could depart with ease. The continental breakfast offered far more than a pastry, coffee and juice!. The breakfast room attendant's warm, cheerful outlook made breakfast even more enjoyable. All in all, a nice place to stay! - mjm0508

We've stayed at some good and some fair Hampton Inns. This is among the best we've stayed in. Queen beds were comfortable, room had a microwave and refrigerator and A/C - Heat worked fine. The best thing about the hotel, however, is the breakfast. The lady who was responsible for serving guests went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and even suggested additional offerings to our kids. You don't get service like this much any more. Kudos to Hampton Inn Greensboro East.

Arrived late and was offered coffee, tea and fruit, plus access to internet by very friendly staff. My request for a specific room was accomodated. Room wall paper needs some glue on the seams, but everything was in good, working order. Beds comfortable, bath clean. Air conditioner worked well. Quiet location away from interstate noises. Breakfast was good, and was told because location was in between county lines, health dept. regs did not allow usual microwave eggs I have had at other Hampton's. Usual offerings of bagels, breads, cereals, fresh fruit and juices, and condiments. Good selection of coffees. A very helpful attendant, who is obviously used to taking care of everyone and treated me like a guest in "her home". Dining and lobby area had two fireplaces and areas for seating on sofas or chairs, which was very appealing. Landscaping was well kept. Easy access to I40.
