Morning zip line excursion with guides Josh And Thomas. Very serious about safety but both were friendly, funny and helpful. Zip lines are not strenuous. If you can walk up and down 3-4 flights of stairs you’re good to go as long as you weigh less than 250. There are several short training lines then some 500-1200’ lines through the trees. About a mile of cable overall. Super fun and I felt secure the whole time. After lunch did 5 miles on French broad and it was fantastic. Huge water from all the rain. Flowing at 6000 Ft3/sec normally 1000 so BIG water. Some 3+ 4- rapids but our 30+ year veteran guide Tom danced through the rapids in an 8 man raft. Super fun. The river was so good river guides were coming on their day off to play on the river. Think 18” of fresh champagne powder to a skier. The only down side was the big water ate up the 5 miles in no time, should have done the 9 mike route. A+++ crew and facility, will do this again when I’m Asheville area.

Everything was as advertised. The trip was excellent, exciting and relaxing, all at the same time. Jonah was an excellent guide, providing interesting information about the river, his experiences, and the local music scene! It was my wife's first time white water rafting and she was a bit nervous. but she had a great time as well. Provided lunch was good too. Easy to recommend.

Our guide Richard was fantastic! He was very experienced and really knew what he was doing. He also told us a lot about the history ad geography of the area, and we could tell he loves what he does. The whole crew worked very well together and the entire operation was safe and right on schedule. We stopped for lunch and it was delicious - they actually grilled hot food, and I had a veggie burger made by a local restaurant that was outstanding. We want to go back and do the 9-mile trip soon. This is worth every penny!

The guide Tim was awesome. He was very experienced and capable. Unfortunately I couldn’t really enjoy the trip due to the incredible stench of body odor emanating from the helmet straps and personal flotation device. Very gross. They need to be disinfected badly. I would not go on this trip again.

This is the second time I have used this company (20 years apart!), and was not disappointed at all! Our raft guide, Tom, was well acquainted with the French Broad river, and did everything to make sure we had the ultimate experience! He even cooked us all some lunch. We chose the 9 mile adventure because it included a couple of class IV rapids. The river was full of water, so it was truly exciting! ( I prefer this stretch of whitewater because of the remote feel. ) Wish I could go again tomorrow!
