Had a great time on the river with the NOC crew! The facility is easy to find, the staff were courteous and professional, and the operation was well organized. The staff was also very accomodating for special requests. Our guide on the raft, Ashley, was very friendly and provided insight on the history of the river. The river itself was gorgeous, surrounded by beautiful mountains, forests, and rock formations. While the river was not too technical, the rapids made for a fun afternoon!

We spent a great Saturday afternoon rafting the French Broad with N.O.C. during my visit to the Carolinas. Everything was well organized from beginning to end, and our guide was knowledgeable and fun. I had never been rafting before, and this was a great run for a beginner - no falling out of the raft even with the higher river levels. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to raft while in the area.

My family has been spending a week in August in North Carolina for more than 30 years. For many of those years we have gone whitewater rafting on many different rivers, including multiple times on the French Broad. Most of the time while very fun this river is fairly tame. However, this summer the large amounts of rain in the Southeast have made this a true rapid experience. We recently rafter with our daughter and families of her friends. It was great and exciting. You stil were able to jump off Jump-Off rock. However the water was so high, you could not rent duckies, kayak style raft (more fun in low water) and we did not stop for lunch on the river.

While there are many different groups on the river, I great prefer and recommend NOC. The people are great and we have had a wonderful experience each time. NOC will take pictures of you while rafting which can be purchased after the trip. I highly advise as each raft member enjoys seeing these. Again this is a great mountain experience, especially when the river is up like 2013.
