This motel is right next to the Wheels Through Time Museum.

There is nothing outstanding about the motel and nothing horrible to report.

It was clean but is lacking TLC. There where shades missing from the ceiling fan and the bathroom light. They worked just had naked bulbs showing.........

The air worked, the water was hot. I had problems with the WIFI, but that could just be me I'm not a computer wizard.

Breakfast was simple, pastries, bagles, ceral, juice.

I'd stay here again if nothing else was open but I think I could find a nicer motel for the cost, $89 or a similar motel for less money.

Room Tip: There are a couple different buildings at this property, some may be newer than others. Ask.

We stayed a 2nd time back in Feb. 2012. The first time was under a different couple managing. This time it was under Donna (Sorry I'm having a blonde moment lol- I believe that is her name) and her husband David. Our room had a few problems that they were unaware of since they had just taken over the place. But they did resolve them in a timely manner. The only down side and we found this at all the motels in the aera is that the bathrooms need away to warm them up like a little heater in them. The heat in the room dont seem to make it into the bathroom even with the bathroom door open. But you get use to it. They and their housekeeper were very friendly. They have 3 dogs that are very friendly too. The first time we stayed in a standard room (Heat/a/c was awesome) and the 2nd time we stayed in 1 person jacuzzi room (awesome). The jacuzzi felt so good after the ride up to maggie valley. The rooms are secure (the windows lock unlock some of the other motels in the aera). The very best thing about them are that they have the cheapest rate we have found yet when traveling with our pets. Everyone else wanted $25 per night/per pet. We have 2 cats. That would of been the same as a room rate per night to bring them if we had stayed at the other places in Maggie Valley/Cherokee and they didnt even get their own room lol. But at MEADOWLARK they beat the other motels rates to a pulp. They made it possible for us to bring them with us and made our stay greater. Thanks.

Room Tip: any room is a good one. But the jacuzzi rooms are extra plus for sore muscles.

Perfect location in the center of Maggie Valley. The owners are super friendly and offer the best hospitality. Looking forward to staying here again with and without my pets.

The only reason I did not give this place an Excellent rating is because some of the furnishings, drapes and wall decor were dated in the room I stayed in. I also think the room could have been cleaner.

Stayed here last night and staying again tonight. This place has been taken over by new mgmt I guess..... It was good before but great last night. Great rates clean rooms and awesome hospitality! There's also a great bar next doors if you are looking to see a house band and a range of family ran businesses around. Save your beach money and take 2 trips to Maggie Valley.

This Place was awesome!, you know God is so good, He showed us the place to stay , and the He didn't let the canker worm eat up our money, He gave us the right price too. The owners were so polite and their children and their labradoodles were sweet too. Our children didn't want to leave. It was so nice to be able to relax with the simple things again. A pool, a trout stream behind our room, a fire pit and a jacuzzi ; what wouldn't be great plus a breakfast too. All a person would have to do was sleep and wake up. Had a great time. Will come back again. Our 10 year anniversary, horseback riding and ruby mining: very fun time. We will definitely be back. Too all of those at Meadowlark Hotel; stay blessed and know you are blessed. Allen and Tia and the Girls

Very clean, great price, great people. Plenty of hot water!
We had a very nice stay and was completely happy with our choice. We visit Maggie Valley at least once a year and we will be back to this hotel without a doubt!
