“Two tails between front 9 and back 9!”
Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

Played 18 today in less than 4.5 hours. The front 9 was flat and less challenging except the par 5 dog leg left. The back 9 had several elevation changes and the greens were even elevated. Gorgeous views and a good track only 6600 yards. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will play again during twilight rates.

Great jumping off point for the Smoky Mountains and all of its outdoor adventures. Traci did a great job of organizing our family reunion group. Condos were very nice - one small improvement - the showers need some kind of toiletry caddy or shelf.

The Maggie Valley course is very well laid out and absolutely beautiful. I didnt play my best the day we went but the layout offers an excellent round of golf if your game is on. The front nine lures you in while in the valley and the back nine will take a bite at you with its elevation changes. But just being there makes you want to come back for more. Simply a beautiful place to play golf and relax!!

Breakfast at Joeys Pancake House a must, Maggie's Galley for dinner & the clubhouse also has good food. Golf, parks,...the rental units are very nice. Value is good. So close to many things to do. Lake Junaluska also a nice place to spend time visiting, walking, canoe...

Playing the Maggie Valley Course definitely kept us on our toes. While the front nine is primarily a valley course it still offers challenges of major doglegs and huge greens. The back nine is super challenging with the elevation changes and extremely touchy greens. Beware of long shots on down hill fairways that go over the greens and into the hazards or the super challenge of reading putts. Overall an exciting course that also has the beauty of the mountains surrounding it as well as its lush flowering landscape. A very good course to play when visiting the Maggie Valley or Waynesville area. They also have a great lounge and restaurant for those stopping in to celebrate after a round of golf.

Room Tip: Golfing in the afternoon has better rates.

My fiancee and I, along with our two small dogs, have been to Maggie Valley Club and stayed at a VRBO condo twice (once last July and then again last October), where we spent long weekends and had great times.

We had never been to Maggie Valley, NC before and found it to be an amazingly beautiful location snuggled in the midst of the majestic Great Smoky Mountains. On our first visit, we were attempting to escape the July summer's heat from the 110+ in our home of Columbia, SC and we were not disappointed...mid 80's by day and low 60's by night and morning...it was delightful.

The Maggie Valley Club condo's are located smack dab within the Maggie Valley Club, which has an excellent golf course and terrific pool area. We met some really nice people at the pool and ate awesome food at Butt's on the Creek (outstanding BBQ), Frankie's (great Italian) and the Club's Pin High Bar & Grill.

The location is extremely convenient to Waynesville and its fantastic restaurants, shopping and groceries. However, the best part of the trip was the first-class service and attention by the Maggie Valley Club staff, who made sure that a couple of minor issues were resolved in as timely a manner as possible and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated...Thank you very much Maggie Valley Club...we will be back for sure!

I have a rental property at Maggie Valley Country Club. I am very dissapointed on the shape of the golf course. I may never go back due to the shape that they continue to keep their golf course in. I ended up going to another golf course because Maggie Valley's course is not being kept up. Real estate is more important to them then the course not happy.

2013 marks MVC’s 50th anniversary, and the resort is celebrating the occasion with improvements in the golf course and facilities designed to solidify the club’s reputation as the area’s premier golf and resort destination. Honours Golf, an industry leader in golf course and club management, acquired Maggie Valley Club in December 2012, and the new management is making noticeable changes. Honours Golf takes pride in having “the best kept golf course” in every market where they own or operate.

We would love to see you back here to check out the latest improvements. Our course is in better shape than it ever has been!
