“First Bed and Breakfast Experience”

This place is absolutely fabulous! We stayed for 2 nights. Mr. and Mrs. Wagahoff are awesome innkeepers and go above and beyond for their guest. My sister-in-law got married this past weekend and the whole family stayed in this B&B. Not one person was disappointed. My husband and I stayed in the Amanda Room. I highly recommend that room. The bed is so BIG and so comfortable and the room was spotless. The breakfast did not disappoint either, both breakfasts were awesome. They give you a lot of food and keep the coffee flowing :)...I would highly recommend this place. I could definitely see my husband and I staying here in the near future.

This is one of the best B&B's we've stayed in. The owners are so friendly and welcoming and their stories are very entertaining. We very much enjoyed talking with them over breakfast. They knew when to give us privacy and we appreciated this. Their recommendations for restaurants were extremely helpful.

The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The room was great, very clean and comfortable. The house is tastefully furnished and we wish we could have spent more time just relaxing in the guest areas.

If we are ever in the area again, this is the only place we would choose to stay!

This is the absolute perfect place for anyone looking for somewhere clean and hospitable to stay. My husband and I were happily married by Mr. and Mrs.Wagahoff, the innkeepers. They made our entire wedding perfect and stress-free. Betty made us a beautiful two-tier cake and a rose bouquet to walk down the grand stair with. They are exceptional people with a lot of pride in what they do. We stayed in the "Julie" room. It was very tidy and it did have access to the porch with rockers. The breakfast was amazing with sweet-potato pancakes and sausage. They also offered to cook us eggs if we wanted. If you are looking for an amazing getaway that is well worth the money, then stay at the Brooksong B&B! :)

Our stay at Brooksong was more than we could have ever expected or imagined. Beautiful home and beautiful people. You have the feeling of being in an old Victorian home, yet with modern day amenities (wireless internet, classical music, cable tv, jetted spa tubs). Each room has their own fireplace and several of the rooms have access to the 2nd floor veranda, complete with rocking chairs and a scenic view of the mountains. The innkeepers, Betty and Cletis make you feel that you are in a special place. Their attention to detail was impressive and the breakfasts were amazing. We can hardly wait to visit again.

Brooksong is one of those B&B's where the name actually refers to something. Outside our window, the Johnathan Creek flowed continuously, a gentle sound that would put you to sleep at night. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the breakfasts, while not gourmet, were delicious variations on traditional fare, and the innkeepers, Cletis and Betty are wonderful hosts and you will not lack for any amenities, including TV's with more than basic cable. We are B&B veterans and this easily ranks with the nicer ones we have ever stayed at. If you are out in this section of NC, and are looking for more couple oriented accommodations, this is an ideal place.

Brooksong is only a few years old, but the gracious innkeepers have created a quality B & B experience. The furnishings and public spaces are nice, and breakfast is exceptional. Each room is stocked with complimentary snacks and chilled sodas. The two less expensive rooms (Lisa Ann and Julie) are very small and awkward for multiday stays. The other three rooms are very spacious, open onto the upstairs porch, and are perfect for a romantic getaway. The website photo looks like Brooksong is high up on hill. It's actually a hundred yards from the main road through Maggie Valley and within walking distance of several restaurants. Elevator music is piped throughout the place all day every day, but you can turn off the speaker in your room.
