Pros - It was close to skiing. The view from the back of the cabin to the creek was nice. And the cabin was clean. Cons - the cabin was SMALL. We had a 2 bedroom that was for four people, however, there was not enough seating in the main area for four people to sit. There were no TVs in the bedrooms. The washer/dryer, was located in one of the bedrooms, just in the room, not even enclosed in a closet. When the washer was used afterward there was a terrible smell in the room.

My wife & I, as well as my son and his wife, stayed one night at Twin Brook. Thank goodness it was only 1 night. What a disappointment. We stayed in Cabin#2. The mgr stated this was one of the best cabins. When we went inside, the smell was over whelming. It had a musty mold smell. We told the mgr and he sent someone to spray. It helped some but you could still smell the odor. Cabin was dirty. The fridge microwave coffee pot had spills and spots. Floors dirty. Shower had mildew. The small window a/c unit in the den area could not cool the bedrooms. The mgr let us use 2 floors fans for each bedroom. It was like staying in an old run down apt. When I gave all the info to the mgr. and informed him of these problems and he may want to check for mold problems he, he became upset and would not even address these problems. Don't waste your money at TwinBrook. You will be disappointed. They do not care. Mgr was dishonest.

My husband and I spent this past weekend at TwinBrooks Resort to celebrate my birthday. We will stay there again, The staff, was very helpful and accomidating and upon our arrival, we were given a list of things that were going on in the area for each day of our stay and also places of interest and restaurants. They had discount tickets to Ghost Town if you were interested. They also had movies you could check out for free while you are there. We stayed in Cabin # 2, it was nice and private and had a small creek running right behind our cabin. Our cabin had a fireplace and there was firewood already on the back porch for us to use. The cabin was well worth the price, about the same as a hotel room but much more space and privacy. It was not a fancy place, but it met our expectations. I would recommend this place for couples for a weekend getaway!

Looking for someplace to stay with the family that's not your typical hotel can be tough - especially if you aren't in a larger area that might have a suite hotel or someplace that has a sleeper sofa or something like it. Add in the desire to have somewhere with a pool and it gets harder.

While we were driving by, we noticed that the Twinbrook Resort had a sign out for their cabins, they had a pool, kitchenettes in the cabins, and they even had two room cabins with televisions - perfect for the kids to watch what they want. Sweet.

The downside is that the first cabin we went to had some sort of an issue with the fireplace, so we had to pack up and move, once we were all settled in. The good news is that we were able to do so, and the not only upgraded us to a larger cabin, but gave us a deal on a second night. Even better.

Twinbrook is currently undergoing an upgrade to some sort of condo-ownership plan, so they might not rent cabins on a nightly basis any longer.

My husband and I loved Twinbrook. We stayed for four nights and took advantage of their ski package with Cataloochee Ski Area. It was SUCH a fantastic deal, and we had a blast! We stayed in cabin #5 and we couldn't have been happier with it. It had all of the comforts of home and was very clean and nicely decorated. We loved having the wood-burning fireplace and used it every day. The staff delivered firewood to our door every day for free, and also provided free fire starters. Their DVD collection was extensive and we checked out a few movies. The view of the creek behind our cabin was beautiful. The location is great--close to Tube World and Cataloochee, but you still have that secluded cabin feel. We were able to buy all of our groceries for the week at a huge grocery store called Ingles in the neighboring town (Waynesville). The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have a computer in the office so we were able to check e-mail and research the area online. We also took advantage of their heated pool and jacuzzi after a long day of skiing and it was wonderful. The facilities are well-maintained. We will definitely be back!

We honestly have no idea what the facilities are like, but if the customer service and general organizational skills (or the lack thereof) can be an indication, I advice some caution! For months our family had planned a Christmas gathering at this place. Air line tickets were bought to get together (from Europe and the Northeastern US), and cabins were reserved by phone in advance. Then, little more than a month before the planned Christmas gathering we received a phone call from Twin Brook Resort saying that we had no cabins due to a computer glitch and double booking. What's worse, we received no help whatsoever in finding an alternative site, and were simply left stranded. So, be careful if you consider Twin Brook Resort for your vacation plans, they may simply not happen.

Cabins were nice and secluded. Heating was not so great and the matress needs to be changed. The springs were poking out of the mattress. No tv in the bedroom. Cabins really need to be updated. We did enjoy the town and surrounding towns and we will revisit.
