Description: Serving Maggie Valley for 32 years, our family has been in the restaurant business since 1935 with over 20 restaurants (Manero's) both on the East coast and in south Florida. We are know for our succulent prime rib, steaks, Gorgonzola cheese salad as well as our French onion soup and homemade cheese sticks. We are a casual upscale steakhouse which also serves a variety of seafood, chicken, pork, pasta, salads and well as burgers and a variety of incredible appetizers. We have a full bar and serve dinner both in our lounge as well as our dining room. We also have a loft which seats 55 and a private banquet room which seats 25. In the summer and fall, we serve on our patio on weekends. We cater to groups of all sizes both at our establishment and in local parks, homes and a variety of settings and have done groups up to 1300. We love to serve families and have a kids section for children as well as two functioning trains which delight the young at heart in our dining room.

We ended up here on the last night of our stay. It was maybe 7-7:30 and the two other places we had chosen were not open. J Arthurs won by default. I would give it 3 1/2 stars. I had barbecue sandwich and my mother had the fish. She said the fish was delicious. Barbecue was okay. Atmosphere was good, waiter was good. Menu has too many fried items for my taste. I know it's the South but come on...

Nice looking place. Very small portions which was good for the fish and chicken that we had. The dogs didn't have to eat too much. Ice cream and cheese cake were ok. Lady next to us had a small slice of prime rib that she was having trouble cutting. Vinyl table cloths make you feel right at home, if you live in a barn. Beer was good just didn't drink enough so we wouldn't know how bad it was. The waitress was nice. Would never ever go back.

I'm sorry to hear about your dining experience here at J. Arthur's. We serve over 2000 meals here a week and we pride ourselves on excellent food and service. We are known for our generous portions and as far as the prime rib, we serve 3 sizes; 6oz, 8oz, and 10oz. We slow roast it daily and have perfected it over the past 50 years to our customers delight. I wish you would have made this known to management and we certianly would have corrected it immediately.

It had been a very long time (maybe 10-15 years) since we had been to J. Arthur's. We couldn't even remember what we had had that last time. Anyway we stopped there yesterday and we were impressed. The service was great and the food was excellent. I had the Roasted Vegetable Strudel- wow!! So different and so good!

We planned our wedding reception from 500 miles away and showed up only days before our ceremony. Erin took care of every detail prior to our arrival and our waiter, David took great care of our group while we were there. Both the food and service was exceptional and beyond our expectations. We had 15 in our group and everyone complimented us on their dinner and the atmosphere we chose. I highly recommend enjoying their food and hospitality for a small or large group.

A group of ten walked from our hotel to this restaurant. Was lovely inside, with a wondrous wait staff. Very accommodating.
