We are season pass holders and love this mountain. Our kids learned to ski here. It is a nice, family run ski area with a great staff. There are runs for all abilities here. Close to Asheville and Atlanta.

Been there a long long time. Friendly workers. I took my kids when they were young and they still go. They've survived bad seasons when not much snow and are still there. Beginner to Advanced slopes.

Sooo, being from Louisiana and all, we ventured to N.C. looking for mountains (check) & possibly some snow (nope). The weather was mildly cool...NO snow at all (we went for x-mas). But the pics on this website looked awesome and being a very keen observer I noticed that they had a snow-maker in the background. We were hopeful that they had made the snow and it would be a great experience for my small kids & family. So we packed up drove 40 minutes to see a 2 lane muddy slope of slush. Mind you I grew up in WI, so I am very familiar with slush...it was on the side of a hill in the shade so it was FREEZING cold and WET, not a good combo. This was NOT what the pic advertised. The line was super long. The kids & adults on the hill were covered in MUD, not snow. To say the least....I was very disappointed. (they did have hot chocolate though.)
