Extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows, power outlets were falling apart, maids locked us our of our own room, and hotel staff was unable to fix it. Choose somewhere else to stay.

I stayed here as a child, when this was a brand spankin' new, top-of-the-line sort of hotel. It was fun to go again, 40-ish years later.
Our family stayed here for a couple of nights this winter, and we were very comfortable.
The owner was fabulously welcoming, and our stay was pleasant. The lobby, with its fireplace and comfortable furnishings, was a fun place to hang out in the evenings and in the morning. The dogs make for a very homey feeling, too.

The inn is a bit older, and not a lot of updates have been done, but it was clean and the service was good. It seems that there is restoration in the works, which is nice, though I have to admit to enjoying the lingering bits of nostalgia from my childhood.

The continental breakfast was minimal during the week, which was a bit of a disappointment, but I can understand it, in the off-season. In this economy, it can be tricky to strike the right balance, and the owner is doing a good job, I think.

The restaurant was very convenient, and the food was quite good. We had a large party, and the chef got everything out in a timely way. He later came out to check on us and ask how we enjoyed the meal.

Our room had a king bed, a sofa, and a desk. It faced the parking lot, which made me worry about whether or not it would be noisy. It was not, and apparently a lot of people checked in after we went to bed, as the parking lot was full the next morning.

The gift shop is lovely. It has a wide variety of items, many locally made. It is not your standard hotel gift shop fare. Check it out!

Being winter, and having a decent snow, we of course couldn't use the pool, but that area looks like a good time! There is a nice area around the pool, with a "tiki bar" for food and drinks. I can imagine that it is fun in the summer.

I would stay here again.

My family and I stayed here back in March of 2011 for a week.
The staff was helpful and accomodating. They have a nice continental breakfast everyday.
The bar is nice and the dinners are very good and inexpensive.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our rooms were cleaned daily along iwth fresh linens and towels. If we needed more towels, they were happy to accomodate our needs.
We would definately stay there again.

Spent one night and I would highly recommend Maggie Valley Inn to anyone looking for friendly host and a home like room. Our room had a king size bed, coach, love seat and a rocking chair. The electric fireplace topped off the cozy home feeling. They were busy which allow the owners to spend more time with us... Travel during the first days of the week is great.. Smaller crowds and less crowded highway....Hope to return soon... My wife can"t wait to see Jackson and Taco the family pets.again...

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It is an older hotel but very clean and good rates. The service was very good and we had a nice time. They offer a lot of things here so we didnt have to leave. The food was good and the entertainment was great. We had a very nice time.

We stayed here for a long weekend Car show and found our room was very spacious and clean and also the whole inn's help were nothing but accommodating. A hint is to ask for anything you need (hairdryers, clocks etc) as they are glad to provide them for you. We will be back next year.
