Staff was very helpful and courteous, only had internet half the time. Came back one day room was never cleaned but staff said it a miscommuication with cleaning staff night manager took the time to help us get it somewhat back to normal. Overall room was clean and staff very helpful would probably stay there again. If available get creekside room very relaxing.

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful regarding local attractions and eating places. We were only here one night as we traveled through but wish we had more time. Really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the first cup of coffee listening and watching the water run in the creek.

2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2012

My family and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Ramada. When we first pulled into the parking lot, the first thing I noticed was that the indoor pool is very small! It didn't matter to my children but to others it might. We checked into our room (215) and learned that there was no elevator! Not great for someone with bad knees. But we lived with it! When we were getting ready for bed, we learned that the couch was no longer a pull out couch. It is big enough to sleep a young child but there was NO WAY I would let my child sleep there! A cloud of powder came off of it when one of my children smacked it! GROSS!!! After going to the front desk and complaining, we were told that they would get a roll away bed for us the next night! The woman at the front desk did go and find us the only one they seemed to have but we had to carry it up the stairs to get it to our room ourselves! I then went to get into my bed and found a long hair on my pillow! NASTY!! If it hadn't been almost 11 pm, we would have packed up and requested our money back! The manager was there the next day but never spoke to us about the problems or offered anything else! At $115 a night, I expected much more!!!!

Room Tip: Has no elevator, small pool and small parking lot.

Nice little town, we stayed there Thursday 3 May, so we could go see the elk in Cataloochee Valley. We stayed in room 104, the room was comfortable and clean, however the air conditioner would only blow hot air. My wife got up during the early morning hours and opended the patio door to let some cooler air into our room. I told the front desk clerk when checking out and he did not seem to be surprised nor care! We will be back in October and may stay here if the a/c is working.

Room Tip: Room 104 is located just behind the check in desk and is very convenient.

We have stayed here twice. We always come to the mountains in the Fall. This last time we made reservations for one night at a different location that was a little cheaper. When we arrived we all freaked out; even our 7 yr. old. He cried and would not sleep in the bed. Upon pulling back the covers I noticed bed bugs. We were out within seconds and went back to the Ramada. We were greeted very kindly and given a great room. This hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and we will never try anything else again when staying in Maggie Valley.

The main road through Maggie Valley (on the way to the Great Smokies) is a somewhat tacky place with lots of souvenir shops and small strip motels. This Ramada looks similar to the others but is perhaps more substantial on the inside (we never heard any noises from the hall or nearby rooms). We were greeted by a very friendly lady who was always very helpful. Our room was on the second floor and was identified as a "mountain view" which is correct but also a view of the parking lots, phone poles, and the cars roaring by on the main drag. By contrast the "creek view" would be highly desirable as the private balcony looked out onto a peaceful, wooded area through which flowed a delightful mountain stream. The beds were very comfortable, room was sparkling clean, and the Wi-Fi in the room a breeze to set up and use (many big and expensive hotels charge extra for this service). We did not use the pool as we were here to visit grandkids and see the sights for which this area is well known. The room was non smoking and the satellite TV offered all that we might wish to view. I was especially impressed with the waffle makers in the breakfast room. All in all a bargain deal! Oh yes, I would have liked an exhaust fan in the bathroom. By the way, how many other motel owners answer the reviews posted on tripadvisor? This is a sign they care and pay attention to customer opinions.

My fiance and i researched Maggie Valley motels for a room with a whirlpool tub, for the weekend after Valentine's Day. We settled on the Ramada because most things were booked already. We had requested a smoking room as we both are smokers, I'm always nervous about that cause I don't want a room that reeks of smoke. But ours was fine. There was no detectable odor, and our room was very large and clean. Our whirlpool was heavenly, the shower in the bathroom had a wonderful adjustable showerhead. Our bed was also very nice, a bit more firm than i like. But my fiance loved it! The only noticeable issue in the room was small cigarette burns on the comforter. That was not a big issue for me. The continental breakfast was nice; cereal assortment, pastries, and a waffle maker. The staff constantly restocked items that were low. The indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were being used during our stay. We didn't have time to try them out but the people we saw enjoyed it. All units have a cute balcony with a couple of chairs. The location is really convienent for Tube World and Cataloochee. We went to Harrahs the 2nd night of our stay, and it's only about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have a balcony on Johnathon Creek.
