We often drive to and from Florida for vacations via the I-95 corridor and are always looking for acceptable and reasonably priced accommodations for our family. The Fairfield Inn in Lumber ton fit the bill nicely.
My family stayed here twice in August 2012--the first time on our way to Florida, the second time on our way back. We were pleased with our room both times: clean and neat, and everything in working order. The beds were comfortable and we had a great stay on both trips.
Only one thing keeps me from giving this place five stars: the breakfast. Now, the breakfast itself was fine--the usual Fairfield Inn fare which was fine. However, the area in which to eat breakfast is woefully inadequate. There are just a few tables, and people are standing and hovering trying to find a spot to sit. We found this to be the case both days we stayed there. We actually came up with a strategy the second day because we anticipated the problem.
Overall, my family endorses this hotel, but be prepared and forewarned about the lack of seating area for breakfast.More
