The owner/manager of this hotel needs to get it together. A tiny red bug crawled on me from furniture. Dead cockroach in light fixture in bathroom. Previous customer's towels still hanging on bathroom door. Being the only hotel in town does not make it ok to neglect major sanitation responsibilities! Terrible!

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was ok, had to have the bathroom cleaned upon arrival to the room, was not done. Did not like the bedspread, felt it was not clean. Sheets were clean but had pen marks on them. Put the 'service please' sign on the door and room was never cleaned. All doors bang loudly.

My family has just had the worst experience of our lives at this hotel ; as far as management goes. We were there for 3/4 days for a family event for July 4th wknd; having to wait on towels to wash up, having to ask for our rooms to be cleaned, having to ask for toilet tissue.... Where in the hell they do that at????? At check out we all had been charged entirely different rates from $62-92 when we were quoted a family/group rate....The owner /manager Wrongfully messed everything up then blamed the desk clerk who didn't check us in for the error; got mad at her for trying to correct the charges. he was the only one that had code to override charges but didn't want to do it at that time bc he was in the exercise room working out & said he was off duty........ dude your the owner, you dont get to be off duty....he ended up firing & pushing the desk clerk in front of about 15/20 of our family members including children; where the cops had to be called out there...... He ended up fixing the charges after all that when he could have done that from the start .......Somebody please just take that drive to Henderson NC & save yourselves the hassle

We were in town for a family function this past 4th of July weekend. The hotel rooms were booked at the same time and the prices all reflected $62-$64 a night per room if you stayed for at least 3 nights. When we arrived for check-in, the computers were down and the manager was not doing anything to try to fix them. He was sitting down with his daughter at one of the guest tables in the lobby. He saw me approach the counter, he got up from the table, and immediately called a technician to try to fix the computers. It took about 20 minutes for us to check in.

We got into our room, which was stuffy and had a stench to it. Although it was a smoking room, you could tell that nothing was done to deodorize the room. We have stayed in smoking rooms in other hotels that did not smell. We had to buy candles and burn them in the room for our entire stay. The couch in the room was old, had a stench, and the fabric & cushions were worn. The internet did NOT work (even though the hotel was supposed to offer free Wi-fi), and the towels on the property were limited. In order for us to get additional towels, they would require us to give them the old towels so they could wash them and give them back to us. I've NEVER been to a hotel where one had to basically recycle towels. My sister-in-law had a bug in her tub, and had to have the cleaning staff come clean the tub because it was dirty. Another family member had some type of snail in her bed, while other family members immediately spotted bugs on the floor when they walked into the room. We were approached by a random guest, who asked us if we had little brown bugs in our room. We told them that we didn't see any in our room, but it sounded like they had bed bugs. He stated that they were little brown bugs and were crawling all over his bed. We did not eat breakfast there and barely stayed in the room (thank goodness).

Upon our checkout, several family members noticed that their bills were wrong. Everyone was charged different prices, even though some had the same type of rooms. This was brought to the attention of the representative that was assisting everyone with our checkout. She attempted to contact the manager numerous times, but did not receive a response from him. Finally, she was told that he was in the workout room and would take care of everyone's issues the next day. He was told that we were not leaving until it was resolved today and he still refused to come to the front desk. One of our family members walked to the gym in an attempt to get him to come up front, and he said again that he would fix the problem the next day as he was off duty. Our family member told the manager again that we would not leave until this matter was resolved.

The representative at the front desk attempted to contact the manager again, whom responded by yelling over the speaker phone "This is your fault! You fix this! This is all happening because of you!" He finally came to the front of the desk and yelled to the representative in front of a full lobby of guests (including children) "Clock out, your services are no longer needed! Go home!" We all stood there in shock and couldn't believe he had just fired this woman because she was trying to assist us and find out what was going on with everyone's bills. The representative immediately began explaining that she did not cause any of the confusion as she didn't check the guests in. She stated that she was attempting to assist us, but couldn't because she didn't have the code to make any changes. The manager contacted law enforcement while the representative still attempted to assist us and explain to him what the issue was. She then offered to give us our paperwork to make sure all info was correct. The manager attempted to snatch the paperwork from the employee, but because he couldn't reach it, he grabbed her arm and pushed her. Law enforcement showed up to the hotel, he spoke both the employee and the manager, then listened to what we had to say. In the end, the manager adjusted everyone's bills, which he could've done in the first place. But instead, he fired an employee and had his guests waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half. Complaints have been filed with the Days Inn Corporate Office.

Do not ever stay at this hotel. The hotel is dirty, the management is unprofessional, the furniture is dated, all rooms need to be sanitized and fumigated...all while having a 94.5% cleanliness rating?????
