“Only place to eat on part of BRP”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Quaint, very small town (several city blocks long) right off the BRP. Only place to find food between Mt Mitchell and Linville Falls. The very old rustic cafe features sandwiches and soups. Guess this is the place to stop if you're a biker riding this part of the BRP ... the local route goes down mountain to Marion and back up to parkway. Service was quick and very attentive. Outdoor seating available. A bit over priced, but food was good. Nice selection of items, but assume they were closing for the winter (we visited last week in Oct) much of the menu was blacked out.

“Always great!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I have been to Little Switzerland countless times and the food, service and general atmosphere is alway to the same....great! The pimiento cheese it "off the chain". Good BBQ. And the desserts are in a league of their own!

“Welcome sight at the end of the road”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Just when I thought the road would never end you find this little café. It is a welcome sight indeed. Desserts look fabulous. Tried the French berry lemonade from the general store. It was good. They gave us directions to our destination. Great looking food for the price.

“Enjoyed the Food”
Reviewed October 16, 2013 via mobile

Was disappointed in the overall location. Not much of a destination and calling it Little Switzerland is a bit of a stretch. Overall enjoyed a very good lunch with wine and exceptional customer service. Would plan to stop there again when traveling in the area.

“Smoked trout and chocolate cake.”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

Great place to stop in the mountains. Great local food and friendly staff. We have 4 pp and we ordered tomato & basil soup, the whole smoked trout, smoke trout BLT sandwich, smoked trout salad, turkey sandwich, and yummy chocolate cake. Everything is delicious and cost like $10 per item, $5 for cake. The atmosphere is great. Love it! Definitely going back.

My tip is arrive early before noon. The place is small and it'll get crowed after that.
