Seafood platter was better than some I have had at the beach. Love the chicken pot pie also. Hushpuppie basket the bring to enjoy while waiting for food, yummy! Great bar. Outdoor and indoor seating available w/live music outdoors on the weekends sometimes.

My review is the last review mentioned. I found a receipt that had our friendly waitress's name that i got wrong. Her name is Keisha Young. I tried to remember calling her Cayla- Kayla sorry about that. Again, Keisha was the one person who made our trip outstanding and a memorable experience at Spear's BBQ. Thank you again Keisha, you are the best.

Hi . My wife and I went in November to Linville to see the changing of the leaves. We are from Orlando Florida. We traveled around for days from the Smokey Mts in TN to the Blue Ridge Parkway thru NC. Well, we drove into Linville hoping to find a place that was open for dinner as it was getting dark around 7:00 p.m and we had driven all day enjoying the sights. Not knowing what to expect, we stopped at Spear's BBQ & GRILL. We were warmly welcomed by a young woman named Kaley or spelled Cayla i lost our notes.sorry. Anyway she made it a point to wait on us and wow, what a great girl. She gave us great recommendations on dinner, the pork chops and chicken pot pie were aewsome. The other sides like cream of corn and the deserts were terrific. We wanted to find a place for the night so we asked about the cottages that were next door, ( kind of connected to the restaurant). The cabins (cottages as some people say). were perfect for the two of us. Nice bed, heater, and wood interior making it cozy and resourceful. Plus, complementary coffee, fruit, breads for breakfast. The room we rented was 125.00 and Kaley also helped us get the keys and room rental set up. Plus a blond lady from the bar helped . sorry i am not good with names . But Kaley was such a stand out that we told the Owner David about her on our return visit two days later. Yes, we travled all the way to Boone, then made our way back to Linville to eat another night at Spears. We looked forward to the pork chops all day long after driving and hiking. Kaley gave us great directions to drive to see the Linville lights. We went to the lookout area around 10:30 p.m. We noticed some flashing red lights and i thought they were ambulance lights in the mountains. Finding out later in the morning, there are no roads in that area. Weird, we definately saw lights that night. So as a conclusion we met the owner the last evening we were there having dinner. They had their brand new grandchild at the location. Cute as can be. Everyone there was just a real pleasure. What a difference it makes when your passing thru somewhere and you are welcomed so pleasantly . Thank you Kaley. Sometimes that little 1 minute of caring can turn into a lifetime of memories for someone. You are that person. thanks so much. complements to the chef.

We were staying in beautiful Linville falls area from sunny Charleston. We decided to go out to eat for a friend's birthday. Server was terrible we sat forever before our drinks came. We then sat forever before our order was taken. While it was oveous some locals were seated next to us because he then focused his attention on them. They got thier food before us. No Drink refil. After our food finally came we ate without a drink. Food subpar. I would eat out of a gas station before I ever step foot in here again. Awful service don't waste your time or money.

I missed seeing this review but it cannot be for our restaurant. We were closed during this time for major renovations. We can produce records to show that we were not open if need be. We respectfully ask that you please remove from our site.

Went there and saw my waiter 3 times total, once taking orders, leaving the food, and leaving the check, we werent asked to get out drinks refilled until we were leaving and by then we were already leaving. He also lied about the SC vs Clemson score, unacceptable.
