We were placed in one of the cottages for a couple of nights at the beginning of June. We could not have been more pleased with the atmosphere of the property and the pleasantness of the staff! Sitting on the porch with morning coffee is good for the soul her. It is very peaceful.
The grounds are beautiful and the food at the restaurant was consistently good. Try the Jammers and the chicken pot pie!
Thanks Wendy. :)

Spent some time at Linville Falls Lodge & Cottages last week. The restaurant served delicious meals, especially the chicken pot pie. The triple chocolate cake was indescribably delicious! Wendy and the staff did everything possible to make it a truly wonderful stay. The owners, Betty and David Huskins, were there and made you feel like family, rather than guests. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Even though, the trip was for business ,the atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings give you a wonderful feeling of peace and an opportunity to unwind and re-boot. The Huskins recommended a trip to the Linville Winery which was very close and very enjoyable. We will definitely be back again. I highly recommend this if you want to relax and enjoy some time out while also being able to accomplish your business goals.

My family and I have been under a lot of stress lately and needed a timeout. We stayed at Linville Falls Inn and it was everything we needed. Relaxing, quiet, clean. The food at the restaurant, Spear's, was top notch. The service was great. The owners, the manager, the wait staff did everything they could to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. We will return often.

My mother and I have stayed here for years on our mother-daughter trips. We absolutely love the place. The rooms are tiny, just a bed and bathroom. They do have a TV with satellite in the rooms though, but we don't go to the mountains to stay in the room all day. For the age of the lodge I can't believe how clean it is. All the rooms smell freshly of soap. There is no air conditioning, but we stayed at the end of July and found it comfortable with the windows open and the fan going. The gardens are beautiful and smell of mint, which is picked fresh for mojitos at the bar. The cabins are nice, but I prefer the lodge. Room #5 is my favorite. It has a bathtub with jets, rich and polished wood paneling, and the two side walls of the room are stone. This particular room has two queen beds. Wendy is the general manager and she is AWESOME. She works all day at the lodge, is the bartender at the restaurant in the afternoon, and lives on site. The lodge wouldn't run without her, and she is extremely sweet and will have you laughing in a heartbeat. The owners are usually nearby asking how your stay is, and they are sweet but don't seem to know much about how to run the lodge. The lodge restaurant is pretty good (chicken pot pie is the best) but a little pricey. For dinner we always share a plate because you get so much. Wendy is an excellent bartender, she makes up her own tasty drinks as well as the normal and you can take them back to your room BUT they are expensive. The restaurant across the street is wonderful. Famous Louise's Rockhouse Restaurant. Good prices for delicious food and friendly service. Love their slaw and hush puppies. This is where the locals eat. Just be careful crossing the busy road.

My wife and I and two kids arrived after a harrowing drive from Asheville during a ridiculous rainstorm (The weather channel reported 12 inches of rain in 2 hours). Needless to say, our nerves were beyond shot and I personally would not have wanted the job that evening to try to please or impress either of us with anything. That being said we were told to come straight to the restaurant for dinner and we could check in there. All I can say, is after a day like we had, this place was exactly what the doctor ordered. Great food, better service and a fantastic atmosphere. Check in was done when we paid for dinner and the rooms were immaculately clean. The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is that there was no AC in the room (we got lucky, we were there the coolest evening thus far in July) and the beds were too soft for my preference. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I only spent one night at Linville Falls, but it was great! Wendy and staff were very accommodating and the room was very comfortable. It was very pleasant sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine. Breakfast nook was well stocked. We highly recommend this lodge and restaurant.

Room Tip: loved the porch area

We had a fine room, very special interior. Dinner and the wine in the restaurant was exellent. No breakfast available, but the owners suggested we went to the restaurant opposite, where we got a really good breakfast. Very nice surroundings.
