If you would like to spend a Saturday afternoon in Americana, come to Lexington NC and stroll down main street. The old architecture and the scenery is very quaint and enjoyable for this little town. When you get hungry, stop in at Shoto Japanese Steak House. This is what we Southerners call a "hole in the wall" restaurant. It isn't a four star restaurant nor is it a really big place. It is a great place to eat Japanese food with a terrific wait staff and a huge portion of food for a fantastic price. It is a good place to take the family. When you get finished with your meal, stop by at the main street candy store which is right next to Shotos and get your old-fashioned candy that you used to buy when you were a kid. With Shotos and Lexington, you can't go wrong. Enjoy!!
