SkyTerra was a great experience for both my husband and me. We were able to address our own fitness and stress reduction goals and still spend lots of time together. Meals were lovely and the staff was the BEST! Would love to return sometime soon!

Just got home from a seven day stay. All I can say is the week changed my life. I discovered much about myself and awakened things I didn't even know were within me. The staff is caring, nurturing, informative and kind. Accommodations quite comfortable. Campus is gorgeous. Can't say enough. Already booked for another week.

I was blessed with a full month at Skyterra. The retreat gave me a new lease on life. When I arrived, I felt like a very old woman and acted like one. The staff and other guests helped me celebrate my 65th birthday about two weeks into the visit. When I returned home I felt so much better and they gave me the inspiration and tools to make the transition. I'm one month along now and I'm doing fabulously! Skyterra continues to support me even now with encouraging email contact, videos, recipes, etc. During my visit I noticed each of the guests I met were on the Skyterra adventure for different reasons. It was evident the staff aimed every effort toward helping each individual person obtain their own goals, whatever they might be. My goal was to get started on a weight loss program that I could carry over to the rest of my life. I met my goal. Another guest just wanted a healthy, luxury retreat with some tips on healty living. She met her goal also! Obtaining my goal was not easy, but it was such a good kind of not easy. The staff and the accommodations made me feel very special. The Skyterra.com website and FB page are true representations of what you can expect.

SkyTerra Health Wellness and Weight loss
Executive Summary: this is the first one of these I have been to, but I thought it was great and would gladly come again. In fact, I plan to come back to this area and do some more fishing and hiking, and if I can stay here and work out and do yoga with them I will do it. RECOMMENDED
Details :
Support staff: excellent, caring.
Athletic trainers: excellent, much better than the average we have in Dallas.
Environment: incredible. We are here a little early, March, however once the greenery around here starts coming out I think it will be amazing. There are many hikes nearby, Outside the resort, guided by the staff, which lead to beautiful waterfalls and other types of running water. Further sky Terra is located within Catatoga resort which is a multi-hundred-acre private community with a limited number of houses, Less than two dozen. We have very nice infrastructure with paved roads, a deserted golf course which is beautiful to walk, water running through it, and a couple of waterfalls on the property.
The lodging is very nice. I had a small cabin which is really a converted mobile home. However; it is very nice. The inside has knotty pine and an electric start gas fireplace etc. Incl washer / dryer, which is great. And I have a glider rocker, and a porch. Love it.
Lectures are very good. Usually one each am and pm during my stay. I think they are in the current state of the art ideas about fitness and weight loss. They quote a lot of books and studies. Some of us who have been through decades of the ideas du jour are a little skeptical of the very latest. But basically, a low carb, low fat, diet. They support fruit and ancient grains.
Anyway, it all sounds good.
Meals are excellent given they are low/natural carb and lean meats. I have not been hungry since I got here. They provide nuts and fruit throughout and in the rooms. No alcohol.
Specialized eBikes. If you like to bike, try these out. They are fun, and somewhat trail capable.
Fly Fishing is very accessible.
AT&T has no functional coverage. Be sure VOIP access is enabled on your phone (internet calling) or look into FaceTime audio. (There are many other internet calling apps for free)

the RESULTS: I spoke w Jeff the Trainer whose does the stats. I told him two things. 1. I hope y'all are really studying the numbers after the student's leave. As you will not live without numbers. 2. you need to figure out how you are going to spin the results, as I do not feel enamored with mine, But they are good. First, I feel like I was fully compliant w diet except maybe a couple extra small bags of nuts through the week, further I did not drink alcohol and I feel like I walked a ton. But I don't know when I do a short-term diet in Dallas, how much is water weight and how much is fat. (I would like access to one of the machines that calculates all this stuff every week). .. . So here it is: I lost 2.7 lbs. I gained .4 lbs of lean muscle mass. I lost 1.4 to 2.4 lbs of body fat, depending on which numbers off of their sheet I use. So I probably imporoved ( lost fat / gained muscle mass) of 2.8 lbs. in the real world that probably makes physiologic sense as the most one can do in 6 days. Obviously if you could do that at home every week it would be great, but back into the real world I am not sure I can do this

Room tip: I liked my cabin

Thank you for taking the time to do such a thorough review. We are so thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us at Skyterra Wellness. I was so excited to hear of your fishing trip and that you were able to catch a few fish even though they weren't very big! My only regret was that you didn't take a picture of them! I hope to see you back soon! Thank you for coming, we really enjoyed having you as our guest. In health, sue
