Missed lunch and finally made it to Mo's Happy Hour to experience 10 cent shrimp & 25 cent hot wings. To partake in the eating frenzy you need only to purchase one item off the regular menu. They also have $1.00 tacos, but it's the wings/shrimp that has this place rocking. Wings are ordered by 6's and the shrimp in 20's. We started with a dozen wings and 20 shrimp and also ordered a cup of their crab chowder. The shrimp were hot and came with drawn butter. It was seasoned with Old Bay seasoning and needed to be shelled, but for 10 cents whose complaining? Their cocktail sauce wasn't to my liking. It was spicy, but did not have that "clear your nose" hot from some good ol' horseradish. This unfortunately was seriously lacking and we had to make due w/ the butter.... We inhaled the first order of wings, but when we got our 2nd dozen it was covered w/ additional hot sauce and not as good as the "dry". Our waitress said we needed to order them "naked", but we didn't with the 1st and didn't know we had to... Go figure. Also note that they charge you 30 cents for each small container of dipping sauce for the wings. The crab soup was great. Thick, tasty, big pieces of crabmeat and a hint of sherry. Mmmm good! Make sure you get there early or plan to wait. There was a line to get in when we left and this was off-season.
