laid back. across from beach. met great people. down the street from our rental, so we went there nearly every night. great burger!

We were looking for a local breakfast joint and we were pleasantly surprised when we realized Art's served breakfast - our house was only a few lots down from here.
Great breakfast - huge pancakes, spicy home fries, and sausage and biscuits - mmmmmm!! Good portions, good prices. We went early and were served quickly.
Thanks, Art's!! The blonde cook at breakfast was especially friendly!

You cannot be in a hurry, but then you shouldn't be at the beach! Expect to wait, but it's a good wait and well worth it! Food is all good :)
Owned by a great family, they bring in all the help when they do get busy!
We love coming here and don't ever leave the outer banks without spending time.

The food here is pretty good for the most part. The burgers are my favorite thing on the menu. We've been coming here every summer for the last several years. We typically come to grab a bite to go while on the beach, or right off the beach for dinner.

One of the nights we stopped by last week was absolutely horrendous. The place wasn't very full and they were taking a very long time to crank out orders. When someone in our party went to see what was going on - they made an announcement asking the patrons to STOP ordering food as the staff was getting overwhelmed. So needless to say, we settled our hefty tab (lots of apps and drinks) and we finished off the night elsewhere.

This place isn't one to go to if you're looking for the warm and fuzzies, but I've never felt "unwelcomed" aside from being told to stop ordering food - but that went for everyone who was there.

My brother and his friends went for a night where they had someone playing jazz and they really enjoyed it. Overall, I'd say to give this place a shot- just don't expect a whole lot.

Give them a try- they have great food and service- very small inside but everyone is friendly and has good time
