“OK Pizza”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

For some reason, the OBX seems to be lacking in good pizza. We have tried several establishments over the years with roughly the same results. Pizzazz pizza was OK (toppings and cheese were OK but the crust was rather thick and tough). The value was "OK", considering it's on the OBX but we honestly get better pizza at home from Papa John's. Delivery was friendly but took about an hour.

“Not much pizzazz”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

We went on a rainy Thursday eve. Not crowded. You have to order at a window, and the woman taking orders could not have been more unfriendly and seemingly bored. Very uncomfortable way to start our evening. We found a table easily, but the lights over the table were so bright we could barely stand it. The pizza was okay, pretty good. Our side salads were boring and bland, and we're not brought to us as an appetizer, which we had been expecting. I would not really recommend this place.

“Not worth the Money!!!”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

We could not get through to the "other" pizza establishment so we ordered from Pizzaz on the night we arrived at our rental home. I specifically asked what size their pizza was, "Is it Ny style pizza?". Bad sign when the person on the other end did not know what I was talking about. So ordered a large pie and cheese fries. First off, 45 minutes to an hour delivery time! Finally arrived, about 40 minutes. Very disappointed....the pizza was conveyor belt pizza and the size of an average Dominos or Pizza Hut pizza and tasted as one too. Also, for the pizza and fries it cost $31 which is almost $10 more than what we pay for a HUGE pie and fries at home.

Would not recommend ordering from them unless you are into the Pizza Hut or Dominos type pizzas. Go somewhere else for "real" pizza.

“Crap”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Ordered takeout for the first nigh in duck,nc. Over priced and food was horrible. Over half of the items listed on menu wasn't available. Seems like the only items available was pizza. Ask for extra meatballs for my kids and was told they didn't have any but they sell meatball subs. Go somewhere else.

“Awful food”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

It was very convenient ordering on line and having our food delivered to our hotel room. The menu was small, but we had no problem finding something for 2 grandparents and a 6 and 2 year old to eat. We ordered cheese pizza for the grandkids and they wouldn't eat the pizza. These two children love pizza and we tasted the pizza to see what was wrong. The crust was under cooked and "slimy". We ordered subs and the buns on both subs were soggy. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed because they were warm subs, wrapped in foil to keep them warm, the bread mush was due to the delivery. Had we eaten in the restaurant possibly the bread would have been firm. I counted the vegetables on my vegetable sub and there were 4 thin slices of green pepper, 8 slices of thin onions, 3 slices of mushrooms, and a large amount of iceburg lettuce. Imagine iceburg lettuce in a warm sub! It was a sloppy mess. My husband's cheesesteak had chopped steak on the soggy bun, but there was no taste. We had to throw all the items away because we couldn't eat the items this restaurant provided.

There are a lot of good restaurants in the Outer Banks. It's unfortunate more don't deliver, but we'd go out with very tired grandkids before we'd order from this restaurant again.
