Beautiful park. Lots to see. Kids especially liked climbing to the monument and climbing on the outdoor replica. Definitely worth a stop.

You'll know what you have to know about this major historical moment. To walk where the Wright Brothers flew for the very first time is extremely moving.

This is a very interesting place where to go. It is pretty small but very well done. Very educational for everybody; kids will be fascinated. If you are planning a vacation in the Outer Banks do not miss this piece of history.

You have to see this museum if you are in Kitty Hawk. It isn't miles and miles of exhibits. But the ones they have hit the mark and the grounds are outstanding.

There are a number of different things to see and experience here, and we spent several happy hours learning about this fascinating piece of history. The main visitors' centre has an excellent display, which traces the inspiration and motivation of the Wright brothers and there is also a large airy room which holds models of their two first planes. We were lucky with the timing of our visit, as we were able to enjoy a Ranger talk - one of the best we've enjoyed, as the Ranger was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He made the talk interactive, and really went out of his way to engage the younger children there.

Outside the main visitors' centre, there is a separate exhibition space which has other artefacts, a shop and a film about the Wright brothers and the history of flight. You can walk to the memorial on top of the hill, see reconstructions of the hangar and cabin occupied by the brothers and walk to the four monuments which mark the distances of the first four flights.

I don't consider myself to be a particular enthusiast of aeroplanes or engineering feats, but this was a really interesting place to visit. Amazing to realise how much has been achieved in aviation in such a short time.
