This hotel was great! The staff was very accomodating and professional. We arrived at 11AM in the morning well before check in time, and the front desk manager provided us with our parking pass, bracelets for pool use, and we used the hotel loby restroom to change for the beach! They also called me at 100pm to let us know our room was available when we were ready! The cleaning staff also did an excellent job! I would most definately stay here again!!

Booked last minute; paid premium for essentially a $69.95 hotel elsewhere, but hey, it's beach front and the beach access was very convenient. Humidity, salt, and sand is hard on the carpets and physical structures; nevertheless, they seem to be doing ok with maintaining the property overall. The parking lot was tight and crowded but we managed to find parking on all three days here. The hotel is older and it shows; the bathroom is very small. The water drained slowly in both the sink and tub but did not clog. Toilet worked fine. Paid extra for the queen size beds versus the full size beds. Having a kitchen facility was also very convenient as well as 4 chair dining table. The couch had seen better days and it sagged quite a bit; it was not dirty or stained but not quite squeaky clean either. The TVs were updated to LCDs and the reception for most part was fine. All the lights in the room worked and the carpet was clean as well as the rest of the room. Breakfast was not bad; no bacon, sausages or eggs but had a waffle maker. Coffee is available all day. There were screaming kids at all hours in the pool, so if you are looking to relax by the pool, this property is not for you. There are no towels by the small pool but this is not a 4 star hotel. Being able to get extra towels from the staff or front desk worked for me. The staff may not look professionally sharp in appearance but they were friendly and courteous. In my book, that's just as important. There are lots of dining choices nearby, but none of them were really stood out.
Not sure about staying for a week but for couple of days, it's fine.

Clean enough. Quiet enough. Parking is overcrowded and if you check in late overflow is in a dark unpaved lot. Beds were good. On a hibbitty scale of 1 to 5 it gets a 3. AC was a wall unit. Lots of families. Lets be honest. You' re beach front. Pool is minute. Not too bad though.

There is little to say that compliments this hotel.

I was very surprised that I was billed when I made the reservation, especially when the reservation specifically stated that I would not be billed at that time. I brought the credit card reciept with me to ensure that there was not going to be a problem.

I had to ask for the tax to be refunded to me, as the tax rate had changed between the time of reservation and the stay. The hotel staff was surprised at the request.

Upon check-in, I was greeted with a hotel staff member with food stuffed in her mouth... huh? No really... huh?

There were no towels at the pool area. We were told to use our room towels... and then come back to the front desk to exchange them.

Terrible TV reception.

With all this, you'd this it was a Motel 6 (sorry Motel 6)... ya know $39.95/night. I've gotten way better service, way better accomodations, and way better atmosphere at other hotels for way less than $191/night.

Can't imagine staying here again. Take my advice... stay somewhere else if possible.

Located on the ocean, comfortable rooms and reasonable prices.....what's not to like? The location is the best thing about this beach hotel (at the 7 MP and on the ocean front close to shopping and great restaurants), but another plus would be the comfortable beds and linens. The rooms are small, but equipped with a small fridge and microwave. The only negative is that the bathroom is very small with the sink located in the bedroom, but it is clean and functional, so that's only a slight drawback. The staff are very courteous and helpful. They allowed us to change into our swimsuits in their lobby restroom so we could go on the beach before our room was ready and then allowed us to use it again after checkout on our final day. They have a decent complimentary breakfast bar which helps vacationers save even more money at this reasonably priced hotel. I would recommend families or couples on a budget trying this hotel on their next visit to the Outer Banks.

Room Tip: Some rooms face the beach road, so request one on the parking lot side of the hotel which faces the...

We had an oceanview room. Therewas a coffeemaker in the room with coffee, but they left no creamer or sugar, luckily they serve coffee (all day in fact) in the lobby. Parking here is terrible, it appears they relined the parking lot to fit more cars into such a small area. Our Expedition was literally touching on both lines, no wonder dings occur. Toilet wobbled when you sat down. My son's Buccaneers tackle box disappeared when cleaning staff showed up, but we did not address this to the office. Made you really think about the sign in the room that said something about the cleaning crew will not take your belongings.
