“Good time!”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

We arrived about 9:30 on a Friday night and had the 10 oz. Prime Rib. For $10, it was pretty good, would not have been as pleased with it for the usual price of $18.
The best part was the karaoke fun going on in the bar.
Enjoyed the old biker dude that sang old BeeGee's songs from the 70's, in the Barry Gibb falsetto voice. Had a good time.
Be careful in the parking lot, very tight and congested.

“Really Fun Place, Great Food Too!”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

We had a recommendation from our hotel staff to give this place a try, and we were very pleased by the whole evening! The atmosphere is eclectic - the workers were dressed like pirates, there were Pirate Christmas ornaments literally covering the ceiling - the food was terrific and we were treated exceptionally well.
All in all, a really fun evening!

“Food and fun!”
Reviewed October 1, 2013

If you are looking for good food in a fun, kind of kitchy venue, you must visit the Jolly Roger. The restaurant is a perfect place to go for family dining, and the menu offers something for everyone. The atmosphere is casual and, yes, pirate-themed. There is a decent kid's menu, and plenty of yummy food for grown-ups.

Be forewarned, this is not a quiet restaurant. There is a bar on the premises, and the clientele can be a bit rowdy. That said, it is still a fine place to bring family of all ages. The decor is fun, and kids can pass the time looking at the funky surroundings. There are peg puzzles on the tables, which also helps pass the time.

We've been visiting the Jolly Roger for six years. It has become an annual tradition, and we look forward to our next meal there!

“Great Breakfast”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Had a wait on a Sunday morning with a party of 8. They said 35 minutes it was more like an hour.
The food was very good with great portions. The place was full of flies. They even put a fly swatter at our table. If you can get past the flies, the breakfast is very good.

“Tacky with a side of food poisoning”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

The very first day we arrived here we saw this place and decided to eat here. First giveaway was that there were only 3 cars in the parking lot.
On the outside you see a pirate. When you step in you see the wait staff dressed as pirates. When we got seated in a room that had Christmas ornaments hanging from the ceiling that looks to be hanging since the dawn of time. They were dirty!
We got seated and as placemats we had a paper mat with an advertisement on them. Everything was sticky to touch.
Did you know this is an Italian restraint?!? Who would have guessed with the pirate and Christmas decorations? And it was WAY overpriced. $67 for two people. And then there is the food poisoning. My poor husband was sick from the food and was sick for 4 days. He even had to go to the doctor in Kitty Hawk to get help.
Also they tried to charge us for drinks we did not order. My advice is to stay away! Not only is this place dirty to touch it was poisoning and tacky to look at.
Be warned!
