We have stayed here 5 times now over the past 3 years. We've always been satisfied. We (my wife and I) just returned from a 3 day stay here at Travelodge for Memorial Day. As usual, staff were professional, helpful, and cordial. Our room was very clean, beds SUPER COMFORTABLE as usual, and the location of the hotel is nicely accessible to the beach, stores, restaurants, etc... Maid did an excellent job on the room while we were out. A great experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to others. Would have given it 5 Stars - if the morning breakfasts were more nutritional, and better. Needs more fruits, English muffins, and yogurts added - and less breads! I've suggested this to them before, but they've advised that they have to stick with what Travelodge Chain dictates. I suggested that they - tell the chain what we (the people) want, to get the change made. Making this change would make the hotel even more desirable - and a 5 Star (looking out for the people). Other tan this, as I said - hotel is great for the price, clean, and comfortable. We have always been Oceanside, 3rd or 4th floor - this time # 407.

Room Tip: Ask for ocean view side. Very nice view!

We always are happy to have our guest come back and join us again, it is like family returning. We are happy that we do have a staff that works hard to provide you a stay that is enjoyable a room that is clean and comfortable and we are always in a constant state of renovating. We are part of a chain but feel we do go above and beyond whenever able. In regards to breakfast food that we provide we are dictated by the Wyndham Chain but actually offer more foods and a coffee that is a Dutch Gourmet than what is offered elsewhere. We have spoke many times and corporate is aware that guest desire more non carb selections. We are hoping in the future to see that approved but with a nationwide chain it does need to go thru the proper channels and approval process. Please do be aware that we take our guest suggestions and do our best to make changes that will better benefit guest whenever we can and this is one that we hope to see approved in the coming year. Until then we do hope you will continue to join us and bear with us as we make changes that we hope do better approve our service and what we can provide. Thank you for your patronage and feel free to call us directly to answer any questions or make a future reservation at 252-441-0411. We are available 24/7 for your convenience.
Sincerely,
Tabitha Filer

Since most of the hotels at Nags Head were filled, for our last minute ‘quick get-away’, we decided to book this hotel. Although the hotel is somewhat dated, you could see it had a lot of tender-loving care. The front desk and breakfast area shared the same space, but it was well organized. Our room (immaculate), with a balcony, was on the 2nd floor facing the street (with a short walk to the ocean.) It resembled a small suite, very well designed to include a small area with a microwave, refrigerator, countertop/storage, a table w/chairs, and the standard beds (incredibly comfortable) and bath area. The front desk was very accommodating – the continental breakfast consisted of cereal, pastries, juice coffee, etc. This hotel is in a great location at Milepost 8 and minutes from attractions, fishing piers, restaurants, etc. It was the perfect place to unwind.

Room Tip: Third and Floor have ocean view.

When I booked this hotel I hoped the rooms were accurately portrayed. The hotel looked a bit old and you just never know. I was not impressed by the checkin area that is also the breakfast area. Very basic. The location was fantastic....a short walk across the street to a beautiful beach. Our room...numer 400...one of there larger rooms was amazingly comfortable. The bests were super comfie ...the room was immaculate and we had a nice kitchen and sitting area. Would have been perfect if we had an outside balcony...but overall loved it! Would definitely stay there again. They also accommodate pets on the first floor.

Thank you for taking time to let us know how your recent stay was. We do take pride in providing a clean and comfortable stay for our guest. The beach is a short walk only a couple walk across the 2 lane beach road to the public beach access, and yes the Outer Banks has some of the most beautiful beaches on the East Coast so we are happy you enjoyed that. The room you stayed in is a great room that is larger for guest with 2 queen beds and a queen hide away couch, its great for larger groups and families but unfortunately it does not have a balcony but all are other rooms do have a private balcony either looking out to the ocean, ocean view or street view or overlooking the pool, with all pet rooms available on the 1st floor. We look forward to your return stay and you can call us directly at 252-441-0411 we are available to assist you or answer any questions 24/7.
