Late evening in the Outer Banks during the winter it is tough to find a place to eat when unfamiliar. I turned to yelp for location and tripadvisor for reviews and we found the deliciousness of the Outer Banks Brewing Station! My husband and I are not huge beer drinkers, but I like unusual flavors in beer. I was not disappointed with my pint of Shandy Gaff. A delicious blend of their house brewed shandy and ginger beer, what a delight! Now on to the Hushpuppies for an appetizer, light, flavorful, meatball size fluffs of corny sweetness, yum. My husband ordered the fried shrimp which was good, but the shrimp and grits were out of this world! I ordered based upon a TA recommendation and was treated to a generous portion of shrimp on a bed of some of the best grits I've ever eaten slathered in a light and bacon flavored red eye gravy. I forced myself to finish every bite as the flavors just sung in my mouth. Don't drive by this one!
