Description: Our staff at the Outer Banks Brewing Station works hard to give our Outer Banks vacation guests and Outer Banks local guests the best possible service. We are the first wind-powered brewery in the United States. Our innovative menus change with the seasons and include something for everyone. We feature pork and beer specials along with a seafood and meat special every night. Our Outer Banks restaurant features live music in the backyard and almost every night after dinner in the summer months. The backyard, where the wind turbine is, features a beer truck, corn hole, a picnic table-style seating area with a pirate ship playground for the kids! Come relax and kick back with some brews and let the kids play on the playground! Our beer rotation is constantly changing and we brew special beers all year long. We hope to see you here soon!

Enjoyed the wheat beer. The sandwiches were good . Good place to go if your hungry! Service a little slow.

“Pretty good food, ok beer, lackluster service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

Upon arriving on 9/26/12, we were hastily greeted and shown to our seat. The hostess departed so quickly, I had to follow her to ask for a booster set. A few minutes later, the waitress showed up and my five year old politely asked the waitress for a second cup of crayons (since my four year old was using the single cup provided with 5 broken crayons.) The waitress snapped, "Can't you share?" it was about 8pm on a Wednesday evening and there were not very many other kids in the restaurant, so it's not like crayons were at a premium. We sort of sat there shocked, finally she did go get the crayons. My husband asked what beers were currently featured and before he finished the sentence she interrupts and tells him, "the beers are on that list", pointing to a small menu on the table we hadn't noticed until now. Really? You're a waitress at a BREWERY! You should be thrilled to TELL customers about your beer. Her short and gruff demeanor continued through dinner. We ordered the seared tuna salad, it was very good, as well as the Yard Bird sandwich- also a hit. The Amber Ale was not mellow as the "list" suggested but it was ok. My husband had the Olsch and enjoyed it. We visited two years ago and found the entire experience to be better then....maybe OBBS is getting too big for it's britches.

“Great Food and Beer!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 26, 2012

Good varied menu. Order the beer sampler. The servings are good size, so you may not even want to drink another glass when you're done. The restaurant is fun as the brewing is done right there. Good wait staff!

“Three Bachelors and Good Beer”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

The title says it all. The Outer Banks Brewing Station has good beer, indeed. My favorite is the LemonGrass Wheat Ale, which is just about as close as an American craft brewery can come in a wheat beer to the Bavarian original. Almost the right amount of tang. My two brothers enjoyed the Olsch. I also tried the porter (forgot the name) which seemed a little light, but did have a nice smoky flavor. High praise goes to bartenders patient enough with inquiries as to what was playing on their Sirius, and helpful with recommendations as to dining opportunities in the area (we wanted to get out and about, but do note that the brewery has a big menu). I don't know about the prices as I wasn't the one paying!

“Great food okay beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Food was awesome, beer was disappointing for a brewery. Not bad, maybe just not my taste. Service was great and prices not bad. Best drink by far was the root beer. :)
