We enjoyed reading all the reviews and decided to give it a try. The food is excellent but was surprised at the entree prices. The average entree price was $30. It was worth the money but wasn't expecting new York prices here
In the outer banks. Definitely give it a try as the sea scallops and crab cakes were delicious!!! Enjoy your dinner!

We have been going to the Outerbanks on and off for over 20 years and this is clearly the best restaurant. The food is top notch. The quality, seasoning, and preperation is second to none. When you add the great service, you would not know that you were in a beach town(except for the guest's casual attire). The tuna with crab meat melted in your mouth. the fried oysters were perfectly done. the clams and mussells in a garlic broth were the best I have had.
Everything on the menu is great. the five of us loved it so much we went back a second time this week. Price wise its not any more than the other places.

We ate here on a Saturday night. One of the few places that would take a reservation. Huge hit. They have a page of specials and reg menu items. The calamari appetizer is the best we have ever had. I had the lobster bisque which was very good and the starter special salad for my entree it was butter fish on bib lettuce with mozzarella and tomatoes. Very good. My husband had grouper special. He loved it. My son had fried scallops over fettuccine, again very good. My other son had ciuppino he really liked it. The special raspberry tini was also good. Husband had a few glasses of wine and total with tip was $200. Highly recommend

I have eaten at Flying Fish Cafe 5 times over the past 5 years and the food has always been hit or miss. My husband and I decided to try it one more time. WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE. The restaurant has been under new ownership only since June and has a new chef. The waitress was excellent, friendly, and very knowledgeable since the chef was her husband. The seafood was nothing short of excellent and my risotto was cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the meal so much that we ate there another night, which we rarely do. One of the biggest perks was a $12 coupon in all the local magazines towards a bottle of wine. We has a wonderful Italian white wine that only cost us $13, quite a bargain. We highly recommend this restaurant

We were a group of ten ranging in age from 6 to 67 and were treated to a delicious dinner, attentive service and hospitality. The food including shrimp and grits, rack of lamb, filet with gorgonzola , pepper grilled steak and mahi mahi was outstanding. We also enjoyed appetizers of she crab soup, calamari in lemon garlic butter and caesar salad. Don't miss the spectacular desserts and extensive wine list either. Our waiter was knowledgeable, patient and courteous. The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming. Do go and enjoy!
