I have been staying at this beautiful property with service ALWAYS friendly, helpful, even the maids, which I always tip because most Americans don't realize what these girls make for such hard and very good work. I have been there 4 times in the last three years, oceanfront (the only way to go!) Everyone including the guest are well behaved, lots of kids and adults and the beach is spotless. Each morning, very early the hotel has employees cleaning up outside getting ready for the beachers. The umbrellas are up, the lifeguard is there and the room service is excellent and plentiful. If you need assistance with maintenance they are there within 30 minutes or less, no matter what time.
Watch out for their Cockatoo in the lobby, she bites!

Overpriced!!!!!STAY at your own RISK!!!!
We never saw any cleaning services present for the 3 nights we stayed there.we had to ask for clean linen the bathroom was very, very, very nasty. Covers on the bed had me itching ... ended up breaking out with a rash.We ended up sleeping in our chaise lounge chairs we bought from home.
crabs were running across our feet as we walked across the sand to the beach.
and to think they charged us $211.00 per night we really expected more for our money.....boy are they ripping people off and not giving them quality services .

Me and my wife went to this hotel and it was a joke--Over priced for a dirty room. Ans found fecal mater on the bathroom floor of the room when we arrived. Called manager and offered another room but wanted out of here---they refused to give our money back. Also the report on the pool was correct--looked like a sewage pool--strange color og brown green. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We drove 8 hours and were Very, Very disappointed! Poor general maintenance. Bathroom was dirty with mildew on tiles. The pool is dirty and in disrepair, drains at poolside are not working so there is old standing water around the pool walkway. Carpeting throughout is stained. I discussed many issues with management and absolutely nothing was done for the next 48 hours of my stay. The deck area was never washed down in the 5 days that we were there. Needless to say we checked out early.

Well, I've seen worse . . .but I've also seen alot better hotels.

The room was okay. The sheets were nice and clean. The bathroom was clean - which is a must with me. The rest . . .well . . .the carpet is in bad need of replacement, the pool is scary and the water in the hot tub was filthy. As a plus, they do have passes for the local YMCA which has a wonderful pool and facilities. We camped out at their pool for an entire day. There was obvious signs in the ceiling of of our room of water damage at some point - probably after Isabel.

On the up side, we enjoyed the back deck/gazebo. We sat in the rocking chairs and enjoyed watching the surfers. The restaurant, Peppercorns I think the name is, was surprisingly good for breakfast. We were well pleased with that. The desk staff was courteous, but the cleaning staff leaves much to be desired.

All in all, I'll never stay there again. However, it's not quite as bad as some of the previous reviewers have made it out to be.

We've stayed in Nags Head many times over the years and this was our first stay at the Ramada. I will never stay here again. The rooms were filthy, Housekeeping didn't even clean the room one day. I have seen cleaner bathrooms in gas stations. The pool was cloudy, sandy and had a film on it. Hot tub was broken and the walk to the beach was tough with little kids. There are a few hotels nearby that are much nicer and the prices are better too!

This hotel is, quite frankly, a dump. The physical plant needs a complete renovation. The floors are moldy and dirty and constantly wet, and I wouldn't dare walk on the carpet in our room without shoes on my feet. The "Business Center" is one computer with a blurry monitor found behind a wicker screen in the lobby. The pool is perhaps the scariest petri-dish I have ever seen. The water is an alien-like shade of neon green, with cloudy swirls of goo and about 4 inches of sand on the bottom. I wanted to grab every child out of it and send them to a haz-mat shower. Beware if you are assigned a room on the 4th floor when an event is planned in the "meeting room" - billows of smoke will roll out of the room (the 4th floor is a non-smoking floor, but apparently no one is concerned with the fact that the meeting room patrons smoke like chimneys both inside and outside of the room). Of course, smoke might be better than staying on the second floor, where unruly children and drunk teenagers run the halls on their way to the 2nd floor entrance to the "pool" which, despite posted hours, is available for a late night dip for those that enjoy bacteria. As for the room, our sheets were luckily actually quite clean, but I dare you to shower without flip-flops on your feet. In sum - avoid this hotel like the plague. Had we not had a number of outdoor activites planned in order to spend only minimal time there, I most likely would have jumped off our balcony into the cigarette-littered dunes below.
