“Interesting”

It was interesting to see where the Wright Brothers had been and to look at the memorial. I liked the sides of the memorial because they looked like the wings of a bird.

“What a wonderful place to learn a little history.”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Wright Brothers National Memorial is a wonderful place to visit while on the Outer Banks. A slice of history that is not to be replicated anywhere. Make sure you hear the lecture and watch the movie. At $5.00 it is a place not to miss.

“Historical, but fun”

Great place for the kids to run off some energy. Wear sunblock if it's sunny, tough...no shade. Nice change from beach days...and you'll learn some cool old stuff, too!

“GREAT place to visit and tour”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

It was such a treat to see the replica of the aircraft flown by the Wright Brothers. The movies were informative and enjoyable and we almost missed them, since they were in the strange-shaped buildings to the left of the museum. Seeing where and how far they flew the first, second, third and fourth flights was fascinating. We climbed up to the monument -- great view up there. And, a fun thing is the small airport next to the museum, where small planes were flying in and out.....from the past to the present!
